I started buying USD when 1 bitUSD = 26 BTSX on average.  During the downturn of the BTSX price, I did not sell any bitUSD to buy more BTSX but I sold all of my PTS (for a profit) to 1.) Buy more BTSX when it was between 5510 and 6270 sat, 2.) To buy more NOTES during the Bitshares MUSIC pre-sale period and 3.) to buy more DNS when the price was in the 310 to 324 sat. price range.

My plan going forward:  I have some BTC left on Bter and Bittrex to buy more BTSX if the price falls below 5000 sats.  If/when the BTSX price falls under 4000 sat, then I will unload some bitUSD to buy more BTSX (currently 1 bitUSD = 45 BTSX).

Luckily for me, someone bought my hot potato :)

Therefore I made out with a profit of about 10000 shares.
Congratulations :-D +5%

Here is my story about over-buying:

So as I said yesterday I bought 10000 BitUSD at 40 BTSX each.

Today I am of the opinion that this downtrend is over, so I decided to sell them. Then I started panicking when I realised that there generally isnt enough volume to sell 10000 BitUSD, so I had to entice the buyers buy selling under the current price feed of 44 and selling at 41.

Luckily for me, someone bought my hot potato :)

Therefore I made out with a profit of about 10000 shares.

Lesson learnt: think ahead and dont buy more than the market has volume for.

Im on Linux Mint 17, compiled from source of 0.4.20

After resyncing the client crashed just one more time (when the sync finished), and then restarting it showed that both of orders were filled. So all is well in the end.

The crashing just seems to be a bit random. Unfortunately I didnt compile a debug build.

The chart still only shows a volume of 200,000 for around 14:25 - it should be twice that. Edit: ok there is just some lag I probably see it now.

So I took the plunge today and bought my first BitUSD.

I bought 5000 BitUSD and the client crashed after pressing Confirm. I restarted the client and the trade was matched successfully. I then wanted to do the same trade at the same price of 40BTSX/USD, and sure enough the client crashed after confirming again.

After restarting it showed again that I sent another 200000 BTSX to the market, but that it wasnt yet matched. I then pressed Ok to resetting the database.

On my other machine which is already synced (but without any wallet) the market shows that 210000 shares were traded (which was my first one), but I cant see any open order on the buy side for the second order.

I guess I will have to wait another hour my wallet to resync to find out what actually happened.

Crashing when I confirm a trade doesnt inspire confidence.

This is the first report of this issue... can you provide more details (such as a log file?)
