ShapeShift useful for bitUSD?

Bitshares and BitUSD are currently unavailable on shapeshift. anyone know why?

I think Shapeshift was matching books from Bter but when Bter went down there was nothing to match.

so many exchanges out there,why they don't switch? poloniex,  btc38 etc.

weird BTC>>>BTS rate the last days

Instant Rate 1.00 BTS = 0.00002561BTC  on shape-shift  !
when normally it is 0.00003470 BTC !

maybe nothing to transfer (running out of BTS or bitUSD?)

we are also working on bitAsset transfer, so if you like in the meantime to try metaexchange.info and will give us feedback, it would be really great!

They are nice.. just wonder if a $ in some way might be apt for the bit asset.. similarly for the other assets based on other fiat.

And yet the other way around:

1.00 NBT = 0.97716786 BITUSD

I think they have teething troubles. About a week ago (?) the rate for converting BitUSD to BTC was completely wrong.
I told one of their operators about the problem over the chat facility and they fixed it the same night.

edit: unfortunately there currently are no operators available...

I cant wait until the people who were upset by the november changes have finished selling all their BTS.

I just find it incredible that there could be so many whales who had huge stakes in BTSX that were so pissed off by the transition to BTS that they decided the whole thing wasn't worth it and that they just completely wanted out. It's like they didn't really get the vision of what BitShares is all about (or had some other understanding of the vision) and dumped a load of money into it initially anyway. I too can't wait until these angered whales are finished (IMHO foolishly) selling their stakes so that we can go back to an increasing price.

I am not sure if the selling is due to bts whales or simply a blockchain employee/account user needing some fiat to feed their stomach. People do need to eat.
