what about ....

wallet_regenerate_keys <account_name> 2000
Thanks for getting back. I have tried this command and the other, it rescans - but still Tx listed as UNKNOWN.

Do as vikram states here:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=9194.msg148083#msg148083
This was really helpful, and made me realise what I had done wrong. I had backups in 2 locations on different drives for safety and had inadvertently restored a wallet that just a few days earlier. The rescan command didnt restore Tx listed as "UNKNOWN", but importing the correct wallet did. Again, thanks everyone.

The transactions appears as >UNKNOWN although I can retrieve the TxID by clicking on the date.

   wallet_recover_transaction <transaction_id_prefix> [recipient_account]

Thanks guys for the quick feedback. Not all more recent asset transactions are showing up, but blocks are synced. BitGld and BitBTC seem to have disappeared...
The transactions appears as >UNKNOWN although I can retrieve the TxID by clicking on the date.
The wallet_recover_transaction followed by the ID says transaction not found if I include # in the console command, and this if no #
transaction_record.ledger_entries.size() == 1:
Any remedy for this?

Hmm. Ok. I haven't touched anything yet. What should I try next?

? move my backup "default" folder within "wallets" subfolder into >appdata > roaming > bitshares > wallets > default

find the old "wallets" directory. You will find in there the folder ".backups" , there you will find the *.json file to import the old wallet going on file>import on the new gui (v0.4.24)
Ha .. I was faster  :P .. though still too slow  ;)

strange ..

you can of course always recover/reimport from a old backup
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/RecoveringFunds

make sure to keep *all* backups

//edit: ah .. glad to see it fixed ... strange thing .. over here the wallet was moved automatically :-\

Phew. Fixed, just had to move the default folder across and remove existing default folder. Not sure what I did wrong...

Have you tried moving your wallets directory from the .BitSharesX folder to .BitShares?

Thats what I plan to do. Is that ok devs?
That should have happend automatically ..
Also if yout GUI asks for a passwort, the "default" wallet already exists in the wallet folder ..

not sure what's happening here .. sure about the password?

I have installed 0.4.24, and password does not open wallet. Do I have to import my backup wallet from BitsharesX?
Thanks in advance for any help!
