Where are the great animated home page we had "Safe  Secure  Sound"  ?

Well maybe you guys are thinking not like the majority of users... How can we know that your thinking is matched with the majority of users?
Why don't you ask the forum members before changes like that? Make a poll first here to have a right feeling! Maybe it was not the best home page in existence but it was great and much better than the current one... but maybe I am wrong ... and you are right... but I would take feedback first from this community and would not ignore them! Make a poll and act accordingly please.

Doing every little thing by consensus is too inefficient.  We need to develop rules on minor actions that can be performed by representatives (without consensus ) and major actions that require a grass roots vote.  I suppose as DPOS evolves these rules will emerge.

if we want to poll every decision before acting then this would decrease our dev process significantly IMO

Should we move the 'DOWNLOAD' menu item to the first spot?

Currently it follows two menu links - NEWS and TV that take you to external sites - with no easy way to return to BitShares.org, I think DOWNLOAD should come before MERCHANTS.

Also, the BitShares FAQ  http://bitshares.org/faq/ page which is prominently displayed on R/BitShares FAQ http://www.reddit.com/r/BitShares/comments/2edvtk/rbitshares_faq_newcomers_please_read/ is nowhere to be found via the BitShares.org site menu, most likely because it is so out of date. It should probably be updated and linked to in the menu, or if the wiki etc. is better for this sort of thing maybe it should be removed altogether. Considering it is the first hit on Google for BitShares FAQ, it would probably be best to have it updated and incorporated into the MORE area of the menu.

btw, @xeroc on your R/BitShares FAQ you link to the outdated Fee Flow image (BTSX), there is a more recent one somewhere.

SEO for bitShares is irrelevant. The only keywords that matter are 'bitshares', 'bitusd' and 'bitgold'. Even if you do manage to rank for keywords such as "online banking" (which won't happen after panda and penguin) you won't get a conversion event from it. What keywords are you trying to rank for and why?
