sweet ... looking forward to a liquid bitUSD/bitGOLD market :)

That should be possible once both bitUSD and bitGLD become liquid! :)

Are we going to open markets for BitUSD / BitCNY -- BitUSD / BitEur and so on?
there's no need to "open" them .. you can put your orders there .. no feeds required .. not sure about a minimum supply depth requirement

No requirements.

bitUSD 24h volume is about $35K at the moment. More than, for example, XCP (Counterparty) volume as reported by coinmarketcap. Of course, we all want much more, but I wouldn't call it "the lack of demand".

It seems to me the biggest issue facing BitShares right now is the lack of BitUSD demand.. I bought some early on and then found it very hard to sell due to non existing buy orders on the books.

Is there any plans to improve this situation? Otherwise no one will buy BitUSD and the system is useless.

We are working that issue from multiple directions.

1. Make it easier to buy sell relative to the feed.
2.  Forced covering after 30 days.
3. Merchant integration.

You can sell bit usd at good prices if you are patient.    Liquidity will improve.
