Thanks que23,
I am familiar with the sites you mention, but as you have seen, it is hit or miss. This was the point of my "concern" post. We need multiple market outlets and many more people. Maybe this is an idea for a DAC but first  more people need to be involved.
A half million shares were reported mined before the announcement of mining. Whats with that?
That came from somewhere on the internetwebthingy so not yet fact.
Final note is a Zerohedge piece about jpmorgan's patent of a new digital currency, (perhaps to be called a "Dimons") sic. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-12-10/chasing-bitcoin-jpm-preparing-unveil-its-own-electronic-currency.
I want to make Protoshares a go but I/we need more choices in markets.  Disappearing quotes and high spreads does not instill confidence.
I  hope this does not offend as I am only trying to start a discussion, hopefully benifiting everyones understanding.

About the mining, David said something when he was on Let'sTalkBitcoin that Invicuts actually started late! Also, the first two weeks the mining was set too high. I missed out too, but I think there's still lots of opportunity. If you were to buy in now what would you be hoping for? I bought Litecoin cheap and sold when it hit its peak of 50$ and then used all that to buy ProtoShares. The reason I got out of Litecoin is because it's just an altcoin. ProtoShare is different. I don't plan to dump any of my shares. I plan to help the project grow and see how these DACs play out. I'm greedy but I more in love with disruption. Did you see BSS's speech http://youtu.be/cOubCHLXT6A the ultimate exit plan. I took this guys coursera course. He's pretty awesome.

Read our newsletters to see when everything was announced.
Check our web site for links to many early articles published in Bitcoin media.
Check out this forum's archives to see how everything came into existence.
Check the block chain to see when mining began after all of the above.
This is an ecosystem being built in public from the ground up by many third-party entrepreneurs.
You are not joining us after the fact when everything is mature and perfect.
You get to see the sausage being made.  (Maybe even influence the ingredients.)
Enjoy being with us on the ground floor.

Are their any other wallets besides invictus, because this is getting annoying. All I want to do is open up a wallet to put my money into but I have to crack codes and shit for one simple thing and I'm getting vague responses.

I Just wanted to say hello and address some concerns. I can understand the value offered by these new ideas, Bitcoin, Protoshares, DACs. I wrote this originally on another tread with no replies so I thought I would try here;

"Evan makes a good point, "there is a difference".  original post is from Dec 5,
today I can't even find a quote for Protoshares. The point is there are many ppl that want to be part of  this idea but don't have coding abilities.
Hayek argued that the goal of Laissez-faire markets is the preservation of the unique information contained in the price itself. Laissez-faire principle expresses a preference for an absence of non-market pressures on prices and wages, such as those from government taxes, subsidies, tariffs, regulation , or government-granted or coercive monopolies.(today) Price and value is determined by the continuous decisions of many people as to what that value is at any given moment."
Where is the market?  Continuous decisions are made from data. Markets participents need access to data and a consistant trading venue, many venues would be better. In this way more people can make a fair judgement of value. The more people involved is also a good thing and creates the foundation of trust and acceptance.  I want to buy Protoshares and support DACs. Where is the market?

There is the ProtoShares market cap on http://coinmarketcap.com/. But for some reason that people are working on, ProtoShares is on there only sometimes. There's also a coin explorer. http://coinplorer.com/PTS. Bter.com and cryptsy.com are the main exchanges. Prices are pretty good to buy in right now. New and cleaner websites are going up soon. I imagine things will heat up when Keyhotee is released. And things will probably go crazy when BitShares comes out.

Ok I figured it out! I got the wallet up at least I think so. The wallet says that it is (out of sync). Is the program going to synchronize by itself or am I going to have to do it manually? A helpful answer will be appreciated? I'm not a tech person as you can see.

maybe this?

From their FAQ :

Quote
Is TREZOR compatible with other virtual currencies (like Litecoin, Namecoin etc.?)

Currently TREZOR supports Bitcoin and Litecoin. Since we are keeping TREZOR implementation agnostic, it should be possible to enlarge the scope to other significant alt-coins n the future.

I guess not

There are a number of different ways to buy Protoshares (bitshares isn't out yet)

The most generic of which is use one of the exchanges to sell BTC for PTS

http://bter.com/trade/pts_btc
https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/119
http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=pts

(I haven't used any of those, be advised)

The second method is to use the "Buy PTS" subforum:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?board=18.0

(remember to use an escrow)

The third way is to buy Protoshares from a store. Fast, easy, secure.
It's also my store (shameless plug :) )

Welcome!
