I have decided to apply the KISS principle to my support of the Bitshares network.

I will no longer be providing altcap.io web wallet or api for shareholders.

Not sure what happened but the site does not load today and defaults to an error: https://altcap.io/#/init-error

Its working for me

You could try a different browser

I used to access it in Chrome and worked fine, now I get that error. It works fine in Firefox. Not sure what is causing it, but will try to investigate today maybe a bug in the ui.

I changed:

const STORAGE_KEY = "__altcap__";

to

const STORAGE_KEY = "__graphene__";

so users may need to clear chromium cache to fix this error.

Please make sure you have a backup of your wallet!

Didn't work for me either.

Takes a very long time to load, then presents the settings page to select a different API node.

Always found that page confusing. It can't connect (which is why that page is shown), yet it says "Full node connection status: CONNECTED".

When I use Sahkan's full node address (wss://dexnode.net/ws) it worked just fine.

We should look into getting our standby witnesses rotated in (like steem does), it would give everyone a chance to test drive their rigs and possibly improve our pool of witnesses.

You have been a great witness and it is strange you have been unelected.

Shareholders need to vote you back in again ASAP.

I agree. I fail to understand the rational that has led to your being voted out.

Let this be a wake up call to all witnesses that you need to up your game and at least begin to engage the community and provide regular reports on your activities.

As a witness, I have decided to use my witness pay at the end of each month to add liquidity to the following markets:

SILVER - GOLD - EUR - BTC

Every month I will use my full witness pay to borrow at collateral x3 and sell a asset on the DEX. I will also use my own BTS and add a bid to buy on the opposite side of the market.

Hopefully over time I can help a little to kick start these markets.

Great work on the launch of 2.0.

It went smoothly because of all the time and effort of BM, dev's, testnet testers and test witnesses.

My witness 'delegate.ihashfury' and seed nodes are up and running smoothly :)

Feeds are being published via my cubox (archlinux ARM) on my home network. Awesome BTS2 code which runs smooth on the cubox even with Xfce full desktop!

Thank you all for the votes and support

Last week tested every backup system I have. Sod's law got me - big time.

Electric  - fried my UPS batteries
Router then passed over to to "The brown smell - dark side"
      - changed to backup
     -  bought a new one
Electric was then cut off
      - Started up 5.5Kw generator - "Suckin Diesel"

While this was happening, Vultr London went down
      - Switched to backup server

Only the graphene test net suffered missed blocks.  All other chain delegates unaffected.

Bring it on. I'm ready  ;)

Over the last year, I have been running the following VPS (on three different service providers) to provide decentralization, redundancy and back-up for the BitShares eco-system:

512MB 1 core (ubuntu i686) Amsterdam: BTS seed node, chain server and my own web site

1024MB 1 core (archlinux i686) London: BTS delegate with feeds

2048MB 8 core (ubuntu x86_64) Dallas: BTS backup, seed node and chain server

I have now set-up a new VPS for Graphene testing:

3072MB 4 core (ubuntu x86_64) London.

I have also been supporting the other DPOS chains (seed nodes and chain servers) and testnets (DEV PLS PTS) spread across the above servers.

I will be changing the configuration of these servers to best accommodate BitShares 2.0 on the run up to release.

I will continue supporting the BTS network with these servers and hope to be able to scale up to the future potential of BitShares 2.0.
