Are you VA devs working on light client in parallel with working on 1.0? If so, that's the big news!

Wait, the Chinese community doesn't know that the light client is coming out soon? Nathan Hourt and others have been working on it full time for months and it's soon done.

Maybe just me! So good what's the ETA? I thought all work indicates here:
https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/milestones#userconsent#
on which no light wallet included.
https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/labels/Light%20Wallet

Thanks clayop. Many chinese people know this now, very positve.

0.8.0 + light client = 1.0

ha ha..
Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

Can we all come to a consensus that light client release = 1.0?

  • Ability to also vote with stake in market orders and collateral in short positions.

This is a larger change and not on roadmap for 1.0.

Thanks for the response. But that is disappointing. We have approximately 200 million BTS tied in collateral (that is 8% of BTS stake owned by active members of the community that could be voting for delegates but currently are not able to). I don't know how many more BTS are tied up in market orders. Is there a reason why you guys can't just slap on a "restricted owner" or "voter key" to market orders and short positions and allow for changing the votes of the associated BTS stake the same way separate voting keys will be done in 0.6? Why is it such a significant change that cannot make 1.0?

  • Separate voting keys from spending keys with support in the GUI client.
  • Cold storage with offline transaction signing with support in the client.

I have voting keys and multisig hardfork targeted for 0.6; can't say when there will be GUI support.

  • Ability to also vote with stake in market orders and collateral in short positions.

This is a larger change and not on roadmap for 1.0.

I don't care what you call it, all I want to know is which milestones (with their tentative schedules) will have:
  • Separate voting keys from spending keys with support in the GUI client.
  • Cold storage with offline transaction signing with support in the client.
  • Ability to also vote with stake in market orders and collateral in short positions.

1.0 is a dream which will never be reached. Bitcoin is still at its 0.9 after 6 years.

The name "1.0" has a lot of significance even if it's arbitrary.

 +5%

1.0 is like a dev sign off that everything is working nominally.
