Sounds like a good idea for a regular company using a normal website. What here would be improved with decentralization?

Decentralization always introduces inefficiency and lack of agility. You need to be gaining something to make up for that.
Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

The business model nowadays:

The Company hires the designer, runs the manufacturing and rents the local where the transaction is made. Then the users goes there and buys.

The new business model proposition:

The transaction is made online it goes in this direction.
1) Designers upload their desings
2) Manufacturers select what desings it want to manufacturer and the price they want to sell at
3) Users decide what desing and with which manufacturer
4) The market takes a little fee

Designers compite for the best desing, manufacturer compite for price, quality, service, delivery. Manufacturers receive a vote from the users (Ebay system)
