You need to be a lot more convincing of what value you are adding to the bitshares project in order to get my vote.

If he would asking to get elected with a 5% payrate, with the same proposal? Would you vote for him?

Martin, I'm a big fan of your videos.  Yet I am a lot different.  You might have a hard time being voted in. Although talking to people on the street might be your thing, others will look at this as  business and may come to the conclusion that it is not an effective way to market given the cost.

However, you have value in your videos.  You just have to be willing to listen to people and take their criticisms and I think that maybe you can make some interesting videos.  The idea is to make them viral in some regard.  There thousands upon thousands of youtube videos out there with people talking into the camera.  There is nothing wrong with that but you really have to do a lot to differentiate yourself.  Then you have to get traction through social media etc.  It isn't easy.  I'll definitely vote for yourself but my stake is nothing special.  Good luck and always have a plan on how to maximize your value.

There is much wisdom here ^^.  I also think that you will have a hard time getting voted in, Martin. For instance, you will not get my vote for a charity-based delegate.

I do donate to projects in my own community, such as community gardens and food kitchens, but it is unreasonable to expect me to donate to your projects in another community when I cannot monitor them or evaluate their effectiveness. I have no guilty conscience to assuage.

And I donate from my own funds that I have earned by providing services that people are willing to pay for, not from an inflation of (tax on) others' stakes in this project. It is my understanding that DPOS delegate funds are meant for those who compete to provide the most value to the bitshares ecosystem. Then, from our returns on investment in that ecosystem, we stakeholders can (if we wish) contribute to charities of our own choice.

You need to be a lot more convincing of what value you are adding to the bitshares project in order to get my vote. And that will NOT include what charity work you are doing (unless you can convincingly demonstrate how much it is adding to bitshares adoption) because I prefer to do my own projects locally - the value of which I can more readily determine.

What you are doing beyond adding value to bitshares is your own concern and should be paid for by yourself - or by asking for voluntary donations - but not by a tax on your fellow stakeholders.

I commend you for wanting to help out your local community. But please earn the wherewithal to do so by competing to add value, or by asking for donations, and then do your charity work from your own earned resources. Funds from being a DPOS delegate that are not for expenses, nor to compensate you for your time and effort to further the bitshares project, should be burned (returned to the stakeholders) so that they can fund their own projects or desires.

This is not to say that I am at all naive to the Marketing value of charitable work. One would have to be totally blind to what Doge was able to accomplish (at least in the short run) by targeted "charitable" projects for marketing purposes. But you have not demonstrated a competency for that  nor does that seem to be your intention.

I am Martin „38PTSWarrior“ Raum from Germany.

38PTSWarrior because I bought around 38 ProtoShares (PTS) in 2013 to 'fight' for peace with good new money from the Internet.

I decidet to follow bytemaster. In his world a policeman who would take my weed, would be on a list and could not make business with non-aggressors until he would make it good again. Excellent!

I sing and make some comedy for the people. That is my job where I earn my money with since around 2003.
This can be in the metro, on the street or even in the supermarket:

http://www.spiegel.de/reise/staedte/amsterdam-eine-poetische-minute-fuer-50-cent-a-471839.html

Since I was so fascinated by BitShares, I told the people about it naturally and implemented the coaching into my daily show:

https://youtu.be/vJVD9acIBhU

I do this full time since 1 year and this means that I told 25 x 364 people about BitShares. 7000 minds.

I decidet to run the delegate martin-38ptswarrior-raum with liondani as a helper in the beginning of 2015. The payrate is 38%.

The income of the delegate will be used for liondani (3%), me (3%), and the rest for business development with charity approach. Video footage, meetings, hostel/co-working space/shelter for migrants and victims of violence with discounts on BitShares' smartcoins. Building wells and (micro) financing entrepreneurs.

I had a camping in Cambodia and have friends who own a hotel.

I will make clips about the people who get our support.

The places I create will make a profit in a short time. I will then continue to create more places in other countries. So called Chateaux (sha-to; French for castles). You can now buy my CHATEAUX asset on the market.

I started to print flyers:

http://youtu.be/AaBSMGeFuCQ

Recorded videos:

https://youtu.be/Zr5tXjgtC9o

http://youtu.be/9Fv1W6iwdZI

Met with pc, delulo and xeroc in Frankfurt for the Ecurex/bitcoin Frankfurt meetup:

https://youtu.be/T4mWNXrjucM

Made bitGold t-shirts:

https://youtu.be/hfS_cmjbqAI

Printed posters:

Hanged them up:

https://youtu.be/Qnmq7HlbNp0

Walked around and explained BitShares (average 4 hours a day)

Explained to remittance providers:

https://youtu.be/g1Qe0LbuI7s

And:

- Someone registered with my referral link

- Advertised minebitshares, blog of bytemaster, bitsharesblocks, my google site “38PTSWarrior“, bitshares101, CCEDK, etc.

- Worked with members onceuponatime and puppies who donated flyers and cards

- Painted milk cans for marketing in Stuttgart, Germany

- Member puppies thought that it would help me to have a functioning wallet. Now I use his server and have a working account:

thirty-eight.pts-warrior

- Paid a bounty of 1000 BTS to hero member puppies for designing and paying the cards.

- Organized the BitShares Camping:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17035.0.html

- My 'financial advisor' thread got more than 9000 views:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,11020.0.html

- Met the head of Technologia
Incognita, one of the hackspaces in Amsterdam, in the metro through my little show. Got invited there and was introduced to a person who now connects me to “all BTC and crypocurrency“ people.

It was very nice there and I thank everyone for the hospitality, cigs, joints and left-over food. A great hackspace:

https://youtu.be/RkDefZeEK0Q

- Visited laglab.org, the other hackerspace in Amsterdam and made a new user (only web-wallet)
This is a wonderful place. Come here every Friday for checking it out! Video (not pretty but..):
https://youtu.be/nM9grjFcdO0

- Video action today! I just shot a vid with 2 guys who are riding on their bycicles through Europe and shoot videos about cliches.

It is shot in the coffeeshop, and I talked about why I am here. The cliche that drug users are dirt of society is less strong in Amsterdam. I said that I am an entrepreneur with bts and my username!

Their footage will be secret until in 2 years but we decidet to make a promo vid with me to announce the big movie which will come.

- Met friendly couple and he worked for Google and knew BTS. Gave email.

- I am in contact with someone who has a bank as a client, which is not sure which tech to chose.
I help as much as I can and am proud that my work influences the business world! Delulo will help my listeners to understand how they can use BTS for their companies.

- Was at the bitcoinmeeting Amsterdam

- Am continueing up to 15 hours a day but only sometimes because it's time to believe in Marti McFly.. Vote bitches ;-D

- Am in contact with listeners, who started to understand bitshares, even after they were quite confused about it.

- Updated my google site https://sites.google.com/site/38ptswarrior/

- Send an update to my contacts

- Got the support of puppies, fuzzy, cube, bitcoinsatan, jernau, and Empirical1.2

I asked them why they vote for me and they answered:
