I find Jim Rickard's explanation of what will happen in the future collapse very insightful:

http://www.bnn.ca/Video/player.aspx?vid=507316

In Jim's book, "The Death of Money", he talks about the importance of a country's Gold reserves to their GDP being how all the world's fiat currencies will get revalued after a collapse in confidence in the USD as world reserve currency. This is why several countries are repatriating their gold reserves right now.

He explains that the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is the only bank in the world that will have the ability to bailout the central banks.

He gets into the role of the IMF Special Drawing Right (SDR), and how it will be used as a reserve currency in the future.

Bitshares delegates, could potentially add the SDR to their BitAssets price feeds. I think that would be very interesting! It would be the only currency that the Bitshares platform can offer to users, that no one else in the world can have except governments.

See SDR price feeds here:  http://www.imf.org/external/np/fin/data/rms_sdrv.aspx

Jim is a big advocate for owning physical gold, and we already know the advantage of BitGold and BitSilver offers through Bitshares. :)

We all know its coming.. Just when.. It maybe bearish at first but as smart moneyheads for the exit they will want to buy non manipulative assets maybe into physical assets like housing, probably precious metals and then consider crypto if they feel that some banks are warming up to the idea of a blockchain backed central bank
