It was at first locked and a short while later 'disappeared' (blocked to public access).

Whether it was a misunderstanding or not, there was some frank discussion going on about the future of the community. 

Seems to me removing it (or moving it somewhere no one can view it) is exactly what some of us were arguing against.

This is more than a matter of misunderstanding. This is Censorship at work.

Don't really understand how this decision of devs to gag themselves with respect to new feature developments is consistent with the decentralized development model. The only distinguishing ability of a core-dev is commit rights to the bitshares github repo.

After further communication with multiple parties , this blog post was a result of misunderstanding .  It was supposed to send to the developers and marketeers to discuss further and provide inputs base on their opinions but instead made its way on the blog  due to misunderstanding and with some new information left out  .

To avoid further confusions , I would like to help communicate with multiple parties to get all the facts right , so I remove the thread for the time being .
