We've done much more than just translating "101 BitShares" ! Take a look at :

The translation of the book is now available on our web site for free.

We'll see you there ;p
you should get in contact with cryptofresh .. they can make you some little funds when selling the book for $99c

I will probably be able to create a small team of motivated person (french mother tongue) to translate the book (fir free) this week in exchange of some future bitshare produce by the 1€ selling price of the book on Amazon.

I'm  about to start the translation but I need to know first what is happenning on Amazon when you get paid for something.
Let's say I sell 200 copies, so 200$. Did I have to pay taxes on them or be myself independant to be able to receive this money ? It's just to be sure to be able to collect the money and rewire it in bitshare to my translador crew.

I know we are speaking about a small amount of money but it probably won't be my last project aiming to promote Bitshare in the french community so I want it to be efficient and not having to spend money in it (just my free time).

If anyone having some experience with amazon could give me some quick advices, they are very welcome.

Updates comming soon ...

If you send a PM to cusknee he will give you some tips on how to get a French translation done at a very reasonable price. He has arranged so far for translations into Greek and Italian, He can send you a file with an updated Bitshares101 (ie. revised Chapters 5 & 6 to make them current) so you don't have to  duplicate work already done.

The french community is not getting enough of information about the crypto currencies world and much less about Bitshares. The main reason is that the level of English they usually have is the basic 2-4 hours a week at school for 3-6 years. Enough to ask for a beer in a pub with a terrible accent but not enough to read without headache a 90 crypto-technical vocabulary pages book.

When I say French community I’m not speaking only about about France but also Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec, African countries, …
Here is a little map of french speaking place in the world, I’ve been quite surprised !

Anybody I know has ever spoke to me about bitcoin, crypto currencies or bitshare. It has to change !

We leave bitcoin for another conversation because we are beginning to have some good french literature about it. For my part I had a lot of questions about Bitshare and I found most of my answers in this amazingly well done book “Bitshares 101”.

It would be a great thing if the whole french community could have access to it without being discouraged by the language barrier.

I’m myself quite busy so I won’t spend hours and hours to translate it but I certainly offering my services to find a way to achieve this purpose.
I was thinking about, in some way, raise fund ( BTC and BTS ) to reach the amount necessary to make it done.
A cheap translator on the web cost about 0.1$/word. The book is 25000 words long so it would be 2500$ to have it done quickly.
I found it a little expensive so I did take a look on how many page I could translate in 1 hour. I’m able to do 3 to 4 pages. So, paying a semi-professional translator (French native last year language university student) by hour we could have the  job done for less than 1000$ which is quite better.

My purpose is not trying to get some leftover coin if it cost less or if we can’t get enough funds. I want to support this community and that’s the best way I can find to do it. I also want to get the path clean for the French community to learn about this great Bitshare projet.
I would refund any donor who would have contributed to this project if we can’t get the funds. At less any person who sent me more than 3$. As I said I’m a busy person and my time is precious, I wouldn’t spend the time necessary to make 800 transaction of 0,12$, 1,27$, 0,004$, 1,89$, ... These small amount would be kept for the next project to support the community.

This thread is made to explain my project and get informations, ideas, advices, ways to do it efficiently, ect…

( I also started a thread in the french forum : https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14551.0 )

So, come on community … Let’s do this !
