Here's a little update from Philly! :)

The Bitshares Brothers

We got half a pack of smokes, a full tank of gas, and it's 400 miles to Blacksburg. Hit it!!

Looks awesome, logo and all  +5% +5%

For a free country it's shockingly hard to find a place to film without being harassed hahah.

LOL

We'll see what time you end up in St. Louis. I have an important engagement here on April 11th, a Saturday, but aside from that I'm open.

I have to travel 5 hrs to get there, so I at least need to know which day you're going to be there.

So as you get closer, perhaps by the time you reach the BitShares team in VA, you might know more accurately when you'll arrive in St. Louis.

Depending on timing I might have 1 or 2 people come along with too.

Keep us posted guys!

Understood.

Jeff Berwick, the host of Anarchast regularly has people on his show of different anarcho* flavors and even some guests who still will not openly call themselves an Anarchist, even on the show itself.

I hate labels too. If you had to label me, the closest terms I have found to my beliefs are: anarcho-syndicalist, agnostic, libertarian, voluntaryist. It's nearly impossible to put just one label on someone. Jeff gives you the chance to cover all your beliefs and then some.

From: http://anarchast.com/about

"Anarchist.  Libertarian.  Freedom fighter against mankinds two biggest enemies, the State and the Central Banks."

"Jeff's background as an entrepreneur dates back to his founding of Canada's largest financial website, Stockhouse.com, in 1994. In the late ‘90s the company expanded worldwide into 8 different countries and had 250 employees and a market capitalization of $240 million USD at the peak of the “tech bubble”.  To this day more than a million investors use Stockhouse.com for investment information every month." - yeah, I think he'll like BitShares.

"He went on to visit nearly 100 countries over four years and did and saw things that no education could ever teach.   He met and spoke with a plethora of amazing people, from self-made billionaires to some of the brightest minds in finance – as well as entrepreneurs from a broad range of backgrounds and locations from tech companies in southern China to resource developers in Mongolia, Thailand, Russia and Chile.  He also read everything he could find on how the world really works… politically and financially.  A pursuit he continues to this day." - yeah, I think he'll like BitShares.

Let me know.. :)

Do we have any highly-knowledgeable BitShares people here that are also anarchists? (yes, I'm one too)

ie: https://youtu.be/75k2pQHaB1g
If I was more BitShares-knowledgeable, I'd do it, but if there are any other anarchists here who could be interviewed about BitShares, please contact me, thanx :)
I may be able to arrange a skype interview on Jeff's show.

Peace, Love and Anarchy.

Well Ken, Anarchism is one of those sneaky ism's which makes peoples brains turn off when they hear it... It's a label which describes me just as well / poorly as Taoist, or Yogi, i suppose, but i don't generally identify with labels of any kind.  There are so many flavors of anarchism.  Yes, I am hugely informed by the likes of Peter Kropotkin, Emma Goldman, as well as Lao Tzu, Patañjali, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Bruce Lee, and Mr. T .. lol.  So long as Jeff doesn't mind me deconstructing every ism including anarchism, then I'd be happy to consider being a guest on his show. :)

Highly knowledgeable?  Politics, theory, DPOS, I might know a thing or two, but i'd need to brush up on any deep technical intricacies if he wanted to go down those rabbit holes.

Let's get through the Bitcoins and Gravy interview and maybe we can talk Anarchast next.  ;)

They are in Philly right now. I've had the enormous pleasure of hanging out with Bitscape, Roadscape, and Robrigo these past few days. Amazing people; I'll be sad to see them leave.

Looking forward to seeing the finished film. For a free country it's shockingly hard to find a place to film without being harassed hahah.
