yep..... appears to be is the right word , because there are updates and actual progress on coding instead of mentioning the same progress over and over again with different people .

Then again , don't base your investment on the progress of development . The price would still be the same even if 1.0 version comes out tomorrow , or 1.0 comes 6 months later . If it's a bad time to buy economically , don't buy it even the development progress is good . If you have a feeling that the price is good , just buy it even you think the wallet is buggy . It didn't really matter , the price is not supported by the wallet itself .

Dang btswildpig..  +5% for such an awesome detailed response. Be great if some of the folks following it actually read it.. OP did though... you are a great ambassador for BitShares and moments like this really show it.

All rumours can and should be proactively dispelled by the PR Spokeman.

+5%, + a roadmap, regular updates by PR on progress / issues, and all this pointless threads would not be necessary. What do we need to meet milestones? Do we need a marketing delegate? a developer? a designer? a regulations expert (stick country here)?  What can be other side projects to support bitshares? Bitshare toolkit how to publish it and leverage it? Vote / DNS etc where does it fit in the road map?
In a way, what we had 6 months ago from January 14 until October 14.

This is the Chinese community/whales taking over the project from Dan and the I3 crew. Btswildpig is one of their mouthpieces. I would expect an announcement from Dan and company some short time after the coveted 1.0 release, that they are leaving the project. This limited display of speech is the wind down period leading up to the purge so as to make it look like a natural progression. Good luck.

I do know what kind of information he processed .
LOL , it's some chat group with thousands of people where all kinds of plan is possible .

Sadly someone take those kind of channel for real . If you ask "Hey , do you think reverse the merger is good idea ? " There will be echos saying "hell ! yeah ! let's do this ! Let's force BM to do this ! " .

If you ask "Hey , do you think spend all of the remaining BTS from AGS fund to every share holder is a good idea ? "  There will be "Wow !  wonderful ! We should press Stan to do that ! "

Hmm..... It was the same chat group : "hey ! BTC38 stop trading DNS !!! That's unacceptable ! We should contact the police to sue them ! We should contact the big news TV media to expose them ! "     Replies : " Yes ! We can't allow BTC38 do whatever they want with our asset ! I'll find lawyers to issue legal letter to them !  "

This is called "Mouth Cannon" in the Chinese culture . You get pieces of Mouth Cannon together , plus a perfect timing with an actual unrelated event , you'll get a conspiracy story .

Some people from the western side have constantly send me questions to bring to the Chinese side and ask for their opinion (I've done these things for many western members ) , and I often copy them straight forward to couple of these chat groups , then get the answer back to them  . Of course many Chinese wants to do all kinds of things , some of them want to reduce the number of 100% delegate as many as possible , they've been saying that since December . But I don't see the 100% delegates has been reduced since then .

OK , just to make sure , everybody knows the dogecoin thing was a joke , right ? Please don't actually spread the word about this ......

Without trying to stir up a hornets nest, i would like to try and understand exactly what is going on with the project right now.

I have stopped investing despite the price because the lack of communication has me concerned. I dis see the PR thing, but what i dont understand is why there appears to be not communication and updates. I would like to see more updates, from a single source perhaps and a timeline of whats being worked on with expected delivery dates. What i see at the moment is silence (and there may be valid reasons) but that doesnt inspire confidence.

I want this to succeed, but i think from an outside perspective, we've gone from over communication to nothing. Please let us knows whats going on and what the road map is - what does the next 6 months hold from a dev perspective? This should be something you guys have out there to attract investment i would have thought.

Snapshot this for me to enjoy .

Your conspiracy theory would be worth something , if I wasn't so obviously speaking for everyone even victims from the "bter" account name scam .
By the way , I even speak for exchanges , end users , delegates when the network crashed several times back in December , I stayed up all night trying to help fix that .

It must be some whale , the entire Chinese community has only 3 100% delegates now (2 of yunbi's is out ) .
Comparing to the west , I don't even know how to begin , www.bts-hk  still not voted in . That's after a month !
( Again , many people have seen me beg votes for www.bts-hk  , if I do speak for whales that could have the juice to do all those things you mentioned , the first thing I would do is ask them to vote for www.hts-hk )  .

www.bts.hk

By the way , I'm a whale with 0.7 million BTS . Because that's like the average yearly income for a ordinary Chinese , I have no choice but to claim myself a whale . Some of the guys who yells much louder than me in the Chinese side , owns far more less and still claim them heavy player .

That is oddly specific.

If they are leaving the project to create a new DAC and create a new excitement, that may be a good thing to the bitshares ecosystem.

Need I dig that up ?

This one , placed a bounty for integration with certain lib for FC .
It could enhance the performance for the wallet .
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14745.msg191225

This one , bytemaster detailed his latest effort on the basic infrastructure of the BitShares system , namely FC lib .
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14854.msg192350#msg192350

This one , bytemaster mentioned he'll address a bug related to the market .
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14942.msg193453#msg193453

This one , major upgrade for the webwallet (brain wallet) , you can now easily backup and restore brain wallet on the web site .
It's also fully translated into Chinese , so it'll be good for Chinese promotion .
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14529.0
wallet.bitshares.org

Vikram said the enhanced user issued asset function will first go into Devshares , and need help to test once it does .
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=11921.msg192909#msg192909

Also judging from Github commits , the developers are working hard , no matter they posted or not .
But 0.7.0 milestone is a pretty heavy duty , it contains many function needed by gateways and a overall fix for many issues that dated back a long time ago .
So it took longer than expected . Some of the issues there contains dozens of small issue , so it looks like it's just 2 left , but it still takes time .

Mike youre right to ask questions. These "public interaction policies" from a so-called professional PR man are retarded. Compare whats going on here with Ethereum: even though their lead developer Gavin Wood is coding like mad, he still maintains a great public profile and gives talks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAwxZ43Ix1s

If someone were to ask me would I buy BTS right now, I would say no because their core developers have the same public profile as Nxt. I dont care if I can find out everything on github, thats not gonna stop the price nosediving.

Yup. This. BTS has gone from an open book to a censored and restrained shell of its former self. Quite sad really. I imagine newcomers to the forums won't even know who BM is anymore. And yet it's BM and his vision/voice that brought many of us here in the first place.

Pheonike

Why is it so hard to have a single place with regular updates and a roadmap????? Isn't this the point of the PR person? I know they claim look at Github, but not everyone is tech fluid. Could there be a place outside of github and forums that just post this stuff. How about a section the bitshares.org site called updates or progress reports.  It doesn't have to be daily. How about every Tuesday a summary can be posted of the past weeks progress or setbacks and what's coming up.

IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS COMPLICATED!!!!!!!!!

This one , major upgrade for the webwallet (brain wallet) , you can now easily backup and restore brain wallet on the web site .
It's also fully translated into Chinese , so it'll be good for Chinese promotion .

Also judging from Github commits , the developers are working hard , no matter they posted or not .
But 0.7.0 milestone is a pretty heavy duty , it contains many function needed by gateways and a overall fix for many issues that dated back a long time ago .
So it took longer than expected . Some of the issues there contains dozens of small issue , so it looks like it's just 2 left , but it still takes time .

appears to be not communication and updates
yep..... appears to be is the right word , because there are updates and actual progress on coding instead of mentioning the same progress over and over again with different people .
