it seems the pirate party is getting more exposure, could be nice if/once they adopt BitShares voting system

Exciting stuff, digging the blog post

That said, the video editing on that youtube video is questionable at best. Feels really rushed/unprofessional

thanks

i think i get the way you want to go. I don't expect to get California to use BitShares soon, but to get the pirate party or other organisations who want to make consensus voting better i understand it and i like the idea!

so when will we get the voting for the BitShares Community? Then we are really the first consensus driven community.

Agreed! I definitely see this as one of the plausible ways we could gain some momentum and bring alot of utility to the bitshares blockchain. I will have to circle back with the core devs to see when voting will be available for the BItShares Community... from what I understand, this was to be released with all of the other voting functionality, which we are targeting to have completed by the end of 2015.

Ak, thanks for the updates and the excellent videos!

I know that you took heat recently from parts of the bitshares community, but these updates definitely make it look like the Bitshares community's investment in FollowMyVote was worth it!  We just need to be able to see whats going on! :)

Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Thank you so much Ander! I really appreciate the positive comments. In the spirit of keeping the community update on our activities.. we just hosted a BitShares meetup in Blacksburg, VA last night which went very well. Slick_willy should be publishing a blog post on bitshares.org and posting an update on the forums later today!

Excellent, Your not going any of the entrenched parties in the countries to adapt the platform anytime soon because they have too much to gain from the current system. But getting the smaller growing parties up to adapt this system will help speed up changing the system on a larger scale.

I promised the community that we would send out a recap of my recent visit to Norway to introduce our voting solution to the Pirate Party of Norway. To this end, we've just published a story on the Follow My Vote website that covers the event! So, be sure to check out the link below:

https://followmyvote.com/follow-my-vote-and-the-pirate-party-make-plans-for-the-future-of-voting/

We've also published another story on the BitShares Blog to maximize coverage: http://bitshares.org/blog/. As an fyi, we will be promoting these blog posts, as well as the youtube video throughout the web over this week and next and will keep the community updated on how many people we reach/views we get. We'd love your help in spreading the word as well.

We'd also like to connect with someone at CoinDesk and/or CoinTelegraph to see if they'd be interested in running a story on this, as well. Does anyone have any contacts that could help us make it happen?
