I bought some extra BTS and voted again for you.
Regards
Daniel, the guy you met last Sunday on the BTS Meetup

Sweet! Thanx so much Daniel much appreciated!
As per Chris, we'll be doing the meetups every couple of weeks now.
Once the moonstone wallet is out I'll coordinate a beamer or that flat screen tv in there too.
Thanx again! :)

The user that was accountable for the Spanish translation job appears to have given up.

Would anyone here like to pick up where he left off?

I'm still paying 1,000BTS per file, per chapter:

Thanx! :)

I completely agree with you 100% jakub.

I am not a marketing guy, a manager or anything of the like. I am just a guy who has chosen to do everything I can think of to aggressively bring accountability from all the Workers here, help every new customer I can (I am notified automatically when certain threads get a new post), build this company, bring whales (when the time is right), help out with wiki's, do translation work and anything else I deem necessary for the BitShares DAC. As I think of more things, I'll do them too. As a CEO/COO with decades of industry experience however, I have quickly found the weak points in the BitShares DAC..

I can't directly control what the core devs will code into 1.0, but the community here sure can.

I'm almost done with a new Poll which will be posted in the General thread later today or tomorrow (yes, on a sunday), one which will affect our accountability here 10-fold. It will make our blockchain work a lot harder too... :)

Thank you for your support jakub and if you have ideas, things that I can do for BitShares, please please let us know and I'll do my best.

Ken, I really really support and admire what you are doing, especially your recent efforts.
This kind of energy that you bring to the table is badly needed for BitShares.
So be sure you have my full support.

However there is one thing that worries me a bit:
Having this not-so-good 0.9 version of BitShares and having a greatly improved 1.0 in the not-so-far perspective I'm worried that if don't pace ourselves right we are in the danger of jumping the gun with our marketing actions.
You know what I mean: when a newbie comes to BitShares now they might be a bit disappointed with our UX and low liquidity for bit-assets and they might never give us a second chance which may hinder our future marketing efforts.

What do you think of that?
Are you marketing plans arranged in such a way as to make preparations now but wait with real actions till we have 1.0 in place?

It has been asked, WHY I am "wasting time" creating multi-lingual subtitles for the BitShares TV videos right now..

#1 SEO and search

A: Search engines can't "watch" or "listen" to a video. Instead they rely on the associated text to learn what the video is about. Adding captions supplies YouTube and Google with a much deeper understanding about the video. Captions allow search engines to index all of the spoken content, making the video easier to find and more likely to appear in search results.

B: Data also shows that captions make a video more engaging and viewers are more likely to watch the video to the end. Retention is everything.

#2 Accessibility

A: In the U.S. alone there are 50 million people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Adding captions is a simple way to reach this large audience who would otherwise struggle to understand what is said.

B: Captions are also legally required for federal government agencies, organizations that take federal subsidies, most public educational institutions (finance classes, broker courses, investing clubs, etc), and certain types of commercial entities.

C: They allow people to view your videos in sound-sensitive environments (ie: in the workplace, a library, or noisy locations).

#3 Other benefits

A: Captions help with comprehension and are a great resource for viewers who know English as a second language.

B: Another reason is to reach a global audience through translation.

If you know a second language, please help me!

voted for you and added you to my slate. The amount of energy you are bringing in is very refreshing, keep it up!  +5%

Hey wackou I'm trying to use my slate for the first time but it doesn't seem to be showing up on bitsharesblocks. Here's the syntax i am using from bts.wiki:

wallet_publish_slate btstools.digitalgaia delegate.kencode

..but it doesn't seem to be sticking to my slate:
http://bitsharesblocks.com/delegate/slate?name=delegate.kencode

Has the syntax changed or anything? Thanx in advance :)

That's not how it's working ...

you simply upvote all delegates you want to have in your slate from within your wallet .. then you execute:
Code: [Select]
wallet_publish_slate delegate.kencode
If you like you can take a look at this script which does basically this
https://github.com/xeroc/bitshares-pytools/blob/master/delegate-slate/main.py

edit: reminds me I might need to update the script to run with 0.9.*

this, what Xeroc said.

Alternatively, if you have the bts-tools package installed (https://github.com/wackou/bts_tools, http://bts-tools.readthedocs.org/), you can also use them to publish a slate like this: http://bts-tools.readthedocs.org/en/latest/cmdline.html#publishing-a-slate
Please vote for witness wackou! More info at http://digitalgaia.io
