After the hardfork tomorrow it will be expired covers at feed price, margin called covers at up to +10% of feed price.
Thanks for clarifying!

I dont know about the expiration price offset .. maybe @pc or @vikram can clarify ..

If you pay your txfee in bitasset than it is 2x the exchangerate afaik ... for bts the min required fee is 0.1 per tx .. defaults to 0.5 in the client

- the upper price limit for a expiring short is price feed +10%

Damn! Can somebody who has read the code confirm it is the case after the upcoming hard-fork?

So the craziness will go on? So we will not end this stupidity even after 2 mo.?

Just great!

- the fees are payed in BTS and are 0.5 BTS

I do not know...My GUI is collecting my fees in  bitassets at 2x the BTS rate (or 0.2 BTS equivalent)

- there is no margin call fee
- the upper price limit for a expiring short is price feed +10%
- the fees are payed in BTS and are 0.5 BTS

besides those points the graphic seems accurate ..

I was thinking something like this:

Shorting in bitshares.doc

I have no idea if the details in here are correct. Perhaps someone who understands shorting better can update it.
I don't know that document and don't have word installed .. can you import it into a google docs and share it publicly?

Is there an official page somewhere that details how the shorting mechanism works expressed in a way that is easy for average users who want to short to understand. There appears to be a lot of confusion over shorting best practices. A flow chart would be nice explaining what happens is a variety of scenarios and what options are available to users.
