The first thing some people say when I ask them if they know bitshares, is movie streaming. No with a “s“ at the end, I say then.

Which brings a question to mind, where the hell is my bitVideo player Dan!!! I mean, you're able to put 17,000 lines of C++ code into this beast of a client and yet, we still have no bitVideo Dan?!

OMG, this project is really failing on all fronts, just like the bitshares messenger said. If bitVideo is not in v1.0, I'm cashing out all 10,000 of my BTS and putting it all back into a coin with a future, like Dogecoin.

I listened to that recording.  I am still lost on why this is necessary.  The examples he gave made no sense.

It is certainly an interesting view of the future.

As far as the chip name goes it may or may not be an issue for us. It could be a name only enthusiasts know like Intel's Pine Trail and AMD's Bulldozer or it could be on the side of the box of every router sold, "Comes with BitShare technology!".

I was amused by the argument that electricity is going to be cheap in future as a justification for using bitcoin.  That is the first time I have heard that argument :)

Just found out Larry Summers the former US Treasury Secretary is on the board. They got some heavy hitters with them.

Is this the guy that goes around pumping OTC stock's as a paid rep, or am I thinking of some other former government scumbag?

Update : He's the guy calling for the abolition of cash. I'm still trying to find out if he was the one whoring penny stocks.

It was former 4-star general Wesley Clark I was thinking about who's doing the penny stock gig.

  • BitShares: Luckybit

Guess what new company 21 is calling their new minnig chip,

"21 is now officially open for business — and business development. After much hard work, we’ve created an embeddable mining chip which we call the BitShare that comes in a variety of form factors. The 21 BitShare can be embedded into an internet-connected device as a standalone chip or integrated into an existing chipset as a block of IP to generate a continuous stream of digital currency for use in a wide variety of applications. You can request a dev kit by signing up on our website to get started."

In honor of the Bitshares community who discovered that Bitcoin was not decentralized. Or perhaps a jab at the Bitshares community for inventing DPoS?
