Peertracks is not ready for the masses. When the time is right than we shall contact all our favorite artists.

Yep, this is my take on it as well.

Hey Guys

I definitely love the initiative! But right now we are not promoting just yet since there's no finished product to show off. Not just yet.
We are focused on development, sales and business relationships.

I'm writting the may update right now actually. I hope it gets everyone as pumped up as we are right now!

keep up the great work! I am happy i joined the crowdsale last autumn/winter and i am looking forward to it

I think it's still too early to approach most musicians who are established in the mainstream.

I agree with @Tuck Fheman , that PeerTracks could be introduced to smaller bands though.

There is this post by cob from September.

(He said, "It's still a bit to early to really reach out to them. It will be clear when BitShares Music is ready.")...

Paging @cob : any short update would be much appreciated!

very frustrating when they ignore us...
I can't believe they don't check the threads over-here   >:(

Keeping secret to people and ignoring people is totally different. I think cob wants to keeping secret. But it seems that he ignores the community. Cob, why don't you just put %5 for Ben's effort? You can keep touch base with the community without disclosing the secret.

I think I may have been a overly keen. You've all made very valid cautionary points. I'll hold fire until the service is ready.

Would be great to have an update from Cob! The Music Revolution needs to start!

I think it's a great idea Ben.

Have you tried contacting smaller bands, like your local club bands or the kids down the street driving the neighborhood crazy with the noise?

They don't care if PeerTracks is ready, they want to hear the hope in your message and what it can do for their future.

They'll sign up and wait with anticipation for that one day when they'll finally have an opportunity to make it big, with their fans by their side; and they can tell a story about how they were in on it from the beginning, the pioneers of PeerTracks!

And what about their fans? They're a part of PeerTracks too!

Tell them about PeerTracks and how they can help support their favorite bands by signing up and contacting their favorite artists about PeerTracks.

Once an artist is flooded with request from fans, they'll have to pay attention.

I say, don't wait, focus on the smaller bands and the fans, get the buzz going, start the revolution Ben!

Yeah, I think what you are doing is great but I don't think it's time for that yet. We need to wait till there is a better product to present to the artists. Things are really heating up in the battle to be the best streaming site. We don't want to put ourselves out there till the time is right.

There is still nothing that comes close to what peertracks can offer the music industry. Tidal is a joke and Jay Z thinks there are millions being spent on a smear campaign against the service. It's just simply the fact that it doesn't bring anything new to the table. Exclusive songs are no match for token controlled access. The world still has no idea what blockchain technology can accomplish.

tl;dr

+ to subscribe ,you must click and check for an "agreement" that is nowhere present! Why should someone continue and make this step?

sorry but it looks very unprofessional right now ...

PS the links are not working as well under the "sign up form"  (they are all linking to the same page http://www.peertracks.com/artist-signup/index.php#)

Maybe everyone can do the same for the bands they like?  Hopefully some will check out Peertracks and sign up!  I'll keep sending out the e-mail especially if I encounter a new artist....

If I would be an artist and finally checked the www.peertracks.com site I would honestly not have a clue on what is going on...
so I would not subscribe yet...

I agree it should have a small FAQ
