Even if the people from Cripti community are honestly helping Corona, which I believe they are if they have showed interested, that doesn't mean Corona doesn't have a hidden agenda. They could be played as well, trying to bring more credibility to the project. I'm really sorry if this is legit, but honestly, there are multiple red flags.

Remember Neo and Bee? That scam company that had key bitcoin figureheads (Andreas Antonopoulos, Tuur Demeester) in advisor roles? They opened a store in Cyprus, ran TV ads, had press releases and openings, and the owner disappeared. Lots of money just disappeared. The employees of the retail store were not even paid for their time.

Corona could be legit, but after having the experience of observing the evolution of multiple scam companies in the past  (Active Mining Company, Neo/Bee), it seems that there are definitely similarities.

The other thing to think about, how do we know that these usernames are actually the people that they say they are?

If we allow them to vet themselves they should be happy to.  It helps them build a good reputation faster.

I, Mike Doty, am only on Crypti. I am not involved with Corona. We have pursued a partnership with Corona for dapp development, and as a result, Matt and Stas have served as advisors with Corona.

For the record Neo and Bee was in Cyprus not Greece. Different people different countries.. .. The only common thing is that Cypriots speak some kind of Greek in a funny musical accent

I'm not claminung something shady on your side! I just noticed that 2 Devs mentioned on Corona site also working in your team!
So maybet they would be able to bring light into the dark here and they would be able to confirm that they are also participating on CORONA network..

We already asked Daniel to clearly label us as such on his website.

Yes, absolutely seems like a scam to me. Especially their methods of advertising in nearly every applicable crypto forum/subreddit. Social hacking, they try to make crypto users feel good about their particular crypto especially in this bearish phase.

Their founder is listed as "Daniel Greene", who claims to have been a blockchain entrepreneur the past few years. The Daniel Greene identity hasn't existed before Corona online from as far as public records can tell. There is no trace of an actual identity, only a LinkedIn (says 9 months with Coronaz) and AngelList (says 11 months with Coronaz) page which look very faked. In fact, the team was kept anonymous at launch and for weeks after, until users on BitcoinTalk.org started asking more and more questions about the teams identities.

In a press release, Daniel Greene even lists a contact number as "555" -- known fake phone numbers. (1-202-555-0156) - link. Would be a great “fall guy” for some of them to run away with the money. I'm pretty convinced Daniel Greene is a made up alias by the team.

There is zero documentation anywhere about Corona being a registered company, who owns it, anything. From the Linkedin, it looks like Daniel Greene is supposed to be from Thailand. There is no proof anywhere of who owns this company, who owns the money, who will be spending it, etc.

Their domain is registered anonymously using a Panama registrar.

Self moderated Bitcointalk thread - meaning they can delete any negative or questionable comments. My reason for posting to Reddit.

Many of their developers are previous alt-coin developers, with histories of running them into the ground and profiting from it.
