A possibly-naive question from someone who hasn't looked too closely at either voting system yet:

Have you studied NuShares's voting model when creating the voting model for approving code changes? I know there will be some major structural differences (perhaps the foremost of which is that in BitShares, you can't directly buy a delegate position), but there may be some lessons to learn.
Support our research efforts to improve BitAsset price-pegging! Vote for worker 1.14.204 "201907-uccs-research-project."

What do you currently envision the starting state of the new network to be?  Will we start with init witnesses?  I am assuming the network can live without init workers or unit delegates?

Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere.

Vote is progressing well and BTS 2 was designed with VOTE in mind.    Web of Trust, custom data transactions, etc.   We just didn't highlight those features as much considering how much info there is.
Seems you guys have a chance for yet another mind-blowing announcement .. haha

Scripting Language? And where is vote?   No mention there

Quesitons:  The announcement blog post mentioned smart contract features.  Will these features be ready when 2.0 releases, or will they be developed at a future date?

According to the roadmap page, it looks like those features will be prioritized according to shareholder approval of proposals: http://bitshares.github.io/roadmap/
