About Spells of Genesis
Spells of Genesis (SoG) is an upcoming trading card/arcade game, from Swiss-based game company
EverdreamSoft, which will integrate Bitcoin and blockchain technology in its game economy as well as its storyline.
It is targeted for release in late 2015 for iOS and Android devices.
A Game For The Community
Our motivation in developing SoG stems from our desire to create a game in strong cooperation with the community. With
Moonga, our main trading card game, we were among the first to have a free-to-play game on the AppStore in 2009. Since then, the genre has evolved in unexpected ways.
We saw some of our players trading rare cards for more than 1000 USD, even if it was not allowed by the terms of service. A whole economy emerged in the game. This inspired us to conceptualize how we could go beyond that and leverage digital goods ownership.
Innovative In-Game Economy
We believe players should have full ownership of their game items. Once a player acquires a game asset, they should be free to own and transfer it. Unlike in other games, we believe a player should be able to keep their assets outside the game database and be completely independent with it. Once they own a game item, they could even find alternative uses for it in other games.
Our aim is to transform the free-to-play mobile game economy by creating a fairer economy where players freely share and trade their digital assets, the same way they can do so with physical objects in real life.
While working as a core of the whole game economy and background story, cryptocurrency will be used as an in-game mean of exchange.
BitCrystals
BitCrystals are the game fuel and premium currency of SoG. As Counterparty assets, they are tradable and can be used to create card packs and acquire new items in the game. SoG’s token system works on a platform which burns BitCrystals in order to issue new digital game assets to players.
70,000,000 BitCrystals will be made available for purchase during a Token Sale which will fund the development of the game.
Integration Of BitShares Into SoG
Since the cryptocurrency game ecosystem is vibrant we design Spells Of Genesis to be an allegory of the crypto game market.
The game takes place in Askian, a place surrounded with high mountains and protected from the rest of the world. People living in Askian are rich and prosper by mining diverse and precious jewels (the diverse cryptocurrencies). The empire of Sayosia who dominate pretty much of the rest of the world became threatened with the growing power of the people of Askian. They are starting a crusade to destroy the blockchain hidden in the Askian’s mountains.
We designed cards to illustrate this vibrant community. We are going to use the diversity of cryptocurrencies to make specific game items.

We strongly believe cryptocurrency will change the world economy allowing things which were never possible to be done before for a mainstream audience. We want to be players of this change. We have observed BTS since its inception and noticed their very active community, we would like regular folks, like gamers, to use and understand the benefit of the freedom that decentralization offers.
We have an initial poll to see how many of you are willing to follow us in this exciting quest. If there is enough interest we could then consider adding BTS assets to the game and have some allegorical representation of the community, for example the forger community vs the miners.
