The woods are lovely, dark, and deep
But we have promises to keep
And announcements to go before we sleep...

-- With apologies to Robert Frost

The woods are lovely, dark and never meek
But we have promised more to leak
Announcements to make within a week...
-- With apologies to Stan and ... Robert Frost

The woods are lovely and not bright
But we have code we need to write
More announcements in a fortnight

-- With apologies to ... well you get the idea

Question:  Since CCEDK is using the Bitshares blockchain for these trades, does htis mean that when these trades occur, this will generate a fee for bitshares, correct?

Assuming that CCEDK becomes a premium member and refers its clients, it would get 80% of their fees, and Bitshares would get the other 20%?  Still, this 20% of the trading fee will add up a lot over time if many people use the CCEDK platform to trade!

Now imagine if with this competitive advantage of not being able to be goxxed, CCEDK overtakes other centralized exchanges like Bitfinex, stamp, huobi, etc.   Bitshares could be earning 20% of the fees on all this trade of bitcoin/altcoins?

Would this not counteract dilution, fund development, and result in a profitable DAC?
Am I seeing this potential correctly?

Congratulations!

Although, not sure if the Bitshares blockchain can handle $15K in peercoin transaction.  ;)

Lack of arbitrage is the problem, isn't it. And this 'should' solves it.

Does this mean all volume passing through exchanges will pass through BitShares?

What about the other exchanges BM mentioned that would support BitShares but it wasn't CCEDK? Is that still up? Will it do the same thing'?

questions

Question 1 - yes, for all assets a particular exchange cares to list globally.  That could be all of them or some could operate in a hybrid mode, I suppose.  There will be regulatory constraints that limit how far they can go.

Question 2 - See Robert Frost misquote above.

With risk to sound greedy. Are you saying this is NOT the only announcement today?

Poetic license.  "Hibernate" doesn't rhyme with deep and keep.

From our [ANN] thread on bitcointalk:

Oh, and if it wasn't obvious, this is great news for all you other coins.

Our multi-currency Nanocard also lets you spend your coins just like a debit card.

So now there's really no need to go around trying to get merchants to accept your coin.

Just get these guys to accept it!

This levels the playing field with Bitcoin's network effect just a little bit.

There.  Another peace offering for you.  :)

Today at a Bitcoin conference in Denmark, at this very moment, Ronny Boesing is announcing just that.
Crytonomex, Bit-X, and CCEDK are announcing a new partnership that will change everything in the crypto industry.

Cryptonomex. ;)

http://www.coindesk.com/45-percent-of-bitcoin-exchanges-fail-study-finds/

Quote
Online bitcoin exchanges have a failure rate of 45 percent, with customer balances often wiped out, a new study has found...
The median lifetime of exchanges is just 381 days, Moore and Christin found.

That's.. just.. crazy :o

That's awesome for marketing. Now exchanges can provide good and safe services for their costumers, this is awesome. The ground platform for business

This should be worth a mentioning on CoinDesk or other crypto magazines, it may definitely be the future of exchanges!!  +5%
