We just finished up another 2.0 video, working on the subtitles (google food) for it now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKPhICV66Qc

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE AND SHARE - we need to get google on the indexing asap since it takes months for the other engines to do the same.

I hope to have the German version up in the next few days too.
More translation bounties coming as well...

Thank You @EstefanTT :)

I just doubled the bounty on the translation jobs back from 500BTS per file, to 1,000BTS per file.

Right now, i am transcribing Max's latest videos so that we can add multi-lingual subtitles to them as well, and, create more bounties.

Then, I have to get the ToDo list done for BitShares POS.

Than again everyone, see you in the morn :)

Congratulation Ken, you deserved it !!!

He barely crossed the finish line and he brings already a possible new project to us.

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17448.0/all.html

We did it well to rise him up to the glorius 101 !!!

If anyone feels to push him a little further, let's say something like #95, feel free to vote ! Like that we can avoid a unhappy move back for some unrelated reason with what he is doing ;)

Oh man, I'm in shock you guys THANK YOU!!!!!!

I'll be on mumble this saturday if you guys want to AMA, I think it's 10am EST, or maybe 11am, I'll be in there early as usual though so if you guys just wanna chat, I'll always make the time.

Let me say something here about the delegate pay and my situation too. Just because you see me wearing a suit, doesn't mean I'm a "suit" or some rich guy. I could put up a picture of a robot too, or put on my metallica tshirts if you'd prefer, or NIN, Sisters of Mercy, Paul Oakenfold or Yanni (yeah, I work from home in my boxers too). I put on the suit when I absolutely have to.

When bringing whales, businesses and Partners, you have to look the part.

I am on a fixed income and I have exactly 80 euros every month that I have left that I spend on these BitShares projects. Sittin here sweating right now, I can't even afford a damn desk fan. So, where will the delegate pay go??

I'll keep on bringing media, but please know, I am NOT a marketing guy, yeah I bring'm, but Stan helps me answer most of their questions. I act as the ''Agent'' and connect Stan with my media contacts. Unfortunately that coindesk article for Moonstone fell through, but hey, at least I tried, right?

CCEDK is an easy sell, you guys can clearly see the posts I am doing for Ronny everywhere. Once we increase the volume, the fees BitShares gets from that venture will get bigger and bigger. Follow me on twitter too so you can monitor my progress.. @kenCode_de

Bringing more Partners like CCEDK is part of what we need too, diversify the portfolio. Increase our volume.

I'll keep on bringin business owners in (like zapptales). Business meetings are not free.

I mentioned the whale I brought in last weekend, helped him fund his account and got him signed up for a Nanocard too. Of course I bought lunch.

Print up more of the tri-fold flyers and business cards. Color printing can get expensive too.

Direct mail to businesses. Also not cheap.

Purchase tiny ads in media outlets that might look to destroy us (like bitcoin-centric or pro-bank/pro-fiat venues).

Translations of everything (not just Max's videos), but all the BitShares related websites. ''Go wide'' as they say. Open our platform up to everyone everywhere.

Google food is also search engine placement. Gateway websites and keyword-centric page names etc need to point to us. Again, I need to bounty people for this.

Social media experts also bring us traffic, strategic "seed planting" like I do with the Disqus threads.

BitShares Munich will primarily sell our Crypto Coaching services (we sign people up onto BitShares, just like last weekend). We will sell the BitShares POS systems globally and help them get their BitShares and CCEDK accounts all setup. We'll also sell shirts, hats, coldstorage devices, QR wearables, all kinds of stuff to promote BitShares and bring in more users. I need to hire a web designer too, to help me finish the new website. Bounties and more bounties... uugh.

Bounties for others to help me produce google food. Bring some much needed traffic to ALL of the BitShares related websites. See my thread about seo sep and the keywords and search patterns that we need, and google is sending those people someplace else right now.

BitShares Munich Expo (this will bring in MANY whales and Partners).. Aligning speakers (and paying some of them), partners and hopefully some sponsors. It will be similar to the annual Texasbitcoinconference. Ads are not cheap either and we have to run them for at least 6 months prior to the event.

BitShares POS api.. Check out the thread on that. This will bring BitShares MILLIONS in fees, plus additional BitShares Partners.

Bounties are extremely difficult for me to keep paying out of my family's pocketbook (i have 4 mouths to feed). But if I have some pay coming in, I can raise the bounties finally and offer a LOT more of them creating real jobs. Once the POS api is done, I'd THEN like to pay out multiple people for integrations with Quickbooks, Odoo, Revel, etc. Each one of those jobs will take the coder months so this won't be cheap, BUT think of the millions of transactions that can now happen on the BitShares blockchain... 8)
If they can build them, I can sell them. Odoo for example has over 2 MILLION users. :)
All businesses can now say ''Cash, Card or Crypto?''

As usual, if I have ideas for more stuff, I'll present them here to the community. Not all my ideas were desirable (like the accountability thread), but that's why I ask you guys first. I can't think of everything. I just want BitShares to be the king of crypto!

I think that if I could get ALL of Max's videos, the videos I can have made, the BitShares website, Bitsharesblocks, Metaexchange, basically every single front-end translated into 10+ languages, it helps us bring more users. BitShares POS brings us millions in fees. Think of all the new bounties I'll be able to pay out and api's I can have developed like (BitShares POS). Translations tied to the new api too, that opens their POS systems up to way more users. I have over 16 years of experience building POS/eCommerce/eBusiness systems.

What should a delegate do with their pay- Well, we work our butts off and provably contribute to the BitShares ecosystem.

I'm not a marketing guy, or a developer, or some other ''title'', I'm a guy who cares about BitShares and will see that it succeeds. You can skype me just about any time too (kenCode_de) and I can give you personal updates. I am not afraid to be accountable. My efforts bring us users, businesses, investors and Partners. I get the job done.

What else would you like me to bring to BitShares?
I BREATHE BitShares. This is my life. :D

I don't know him very much but it always seems to me like he was doing a lot without having the proper response from the community. So I did this post to express that impression.

I like the way you think Permie !!! Let's make this post a bit more productive !

He's highly motivated to have the delegate position and surely open to any suggecstions from you guys. Afterall, you are the ones who detain the voting power.

What do you think he could do the deserve your vote ??

I will start as an example but he already have my vote : I like the job he has done translating in several languages the Max W. videos, flyers, triflod, ... there is a lot of people out there who will never know anything about BitShares because they are not use to read in english (even less able to understand blockchain high tech projects in another language). So, as a delegate I would like if he could continue to diffuse the important infomation in the more widely spoken languages.

I'm agree that it's not the time to go viral. The product is not ready for that can lead to a reverse effect and makes us bad publicity.

I don't think Ken is aiming that.

Here is a quick list of what he achieved lately. I don't see anything he has done that have not its place in our "waiting phase" before the release of 2.0.

Helping Ronny at CCEDK
Develop more features for the Nanocard such as Branding, Affiliateships, Cash back rewards and merchant (stores, restaurants, etc) discounts.
He's bringing whales.
Tweet like crazy about BitShares and related companies like CCEDK
Bring in businesses like ZappTales
As a PR Agent, he bring more media to Stan such as Bitcoins and Gravy, Cointelegraph articles, etc.
Working on the BitShares POS project which will bring millions in transaction fees.
Crypto Coaching services via BitShares Munich brand
Youtube channel
G+ pages
Working on the DAC Wizard project which allows businesses to quickly and easily setup a DAC on BitShares 2.0 tech.
Create more google food thru videos, links, social posts, video subtitling, etc.
Working on the BitShares Munich Expo (aligning speakers, partners and sponsors now).
Help newbies in the tech support threads.
Faucet newbies as well
He translated a LOT of content in different languages. When 2.0 launched, anybody without a good level of english won't understand a thing about BitShares, languages are primordial.
...

Maybe it's delegate project would be better received if he could describe a road map on what he will be working until the release ? Focusing on all the things that can be done in a symbiotic way with our "waiting the 2.0 phase".

Opinions ?
It's really great what Ken is doing, and he has my vote but bts members are already getting all this for free (from him).
Also a lot of the things you listed are part of private businesses.

Maybe Ken needs to hold something back and offer his services to bts members after payment. A roadmap of "here's what I'll do if you pay me" could also help.
Community members rallying around Ken so strongly does speak to the amount of effort and good work he has produced though.

Rational members will want to see: the benefit to bitshares, reasons why members should pay for this benefit, integrity of the candidate and a demonstrated ability to follow through with their stated goals. Has Ken done all of these to the extent desired by the members?
It may not have anything to do with Ken, the announcement of DPOS 2 seems to have halted voting for new delegates.

Members who have not voted for Ken, can you name one thing that Ken can do to persuade you?

Having a good product... CHECK

IMO:
At the moment we have nothing but an idea and shiny but unproven theoretics.
* BitShares 0.x is discontinued and not in a condition that allows me to promote BitShares to my family, friends, colleagues or even strangers.
* Graphene is not yet available as Beta and 1.0 is probably far away from being released (2016?).
Promoting BitShares, SmartCoins and NanoCard does not make any sense for me until I have facts and a lightning fast wallet including the announced featureset.
But I love the concept and believe in Cryptonomex, so let the Devs build and prove what we are all waiting for and it will automatically go viral.
I'm inclined to agree here, once DPOS 2 is out it should sell itself and 90% of the minor advertising we could start doing now will be eclipsed by the platform selling itself. Because profit.

IMO the best course of action now is still to target potential investors in the system, start-up investors, and to debate parameters/functionality of Graphene so upon release it is near-perfect.

And to prepare for future private referral income strategies (advertising benefits to end users and getting paid for referring them) to put online when DPOS 2 goes live.

I'm glad there is lots of news scheduled in the run-up, or this place could end up feeling like purgatory until 'End of summer' when DPOS is released

It is true, that I absolutely don't understand how come an asset like Kencode has not yet the delegate status...

But I understand that some people don't like other people making a lot of noise... But open your eyes guys there are so much to do and there still are so many people here just waiting to score...

Guys... WAKE UP... it is people like Ken who makes noise that will shake some persons of our community to move and actually DO something for BitShares.

You have to keep it mind one thing... Having a good product... CHECK, having a good community ... CHECK without good marketing and people actually moving their booty to make this happen... BitShares will NEVER GROW...

WE HAVE TO DO THIS, if we don't push we won't do nothing....

And as for me, Ken is moving things in the right direction so AT LEAST give him weapons to do that!!!

You have my vote since a LONG TIME AGO Ken!

VOTE!!!! We have BitShares in our hands... now open your eyes... VOTE!!!

I chose not to vote for Ken. He makes a lot of noise on the forum and makes lots of promises, but frankly I don't think he will deliver on much. Yes, he's made some YouTube videos and has a presence on Reddit, but it's not enough to warrant delegate pay at current rates, let alone as a worker in 2.0.

I'm just not convinced, sorry.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I'm not mistaken the delegates voted right now (and before) will be split between witnesses and paid workers, not delegate anymore.. So if we vote him delegate, it's just like giving him a paid worker with some anticipation.

If he is not bringing enough to the community, his paid worker position will decrease in the ranks and be out of the the paid ones. Problem solved.

A lot of the projects in this community are waiting to have the referral program in place with the 2.0 to start the engine. Meanwhile we can't wait doing nothing right ? Well, guess who is working for free nervertheless ... you got it !

Vote Kencode !

PS : Phillyguy, your writting style seem familiar to me, are you an old member of this community with a new account ?? Let's play a game, if it's the case and I find who you were, you vote Kencode ! Deal ?  ;D

Ken would be able to get voted in much faster if he could garner some support from the bitshares china community.  I know @btswildpig is a bridge between the two communities.  Maybe wildpig could reach out to the Chinese side if he likes what ken brings to the table.

I for one am very impressed with what ken has already done for bitshares using his own funds and believe he would do a great job with a fully fledged delegate position.

@bytemaster would you consider voting for kencode?  Or do you think there is more he needs to bring to the table.  He has done a great job getting us interviews with cointelegraph and he is bringing new businesses to bitshares.  He recently just brought in ZappTales.

Goooooooooooooooooood morning BitShares !

A fresh coffee in my left hand, the mouse in my right, the summer spanish sun painting my living room in warm colours ... it would have been a perfect morning if ...

... we didn't loose the rank we won yesterday, we are back to #123. That's sad  :-[

BUT that's not a big deal, these are just some hesitations before the big wake up ! When the community will realise that we have a person working hard for BitShares, investing time and money to add more value to the whole project, more value to YOUR bitshares, then votes are going to flow like crazy.

Untill then, I will be here remembering every body that IMHO it's a fail we have as a smart community to have this guy off the 100 delagates.

PS:  constructive criticism or personal opinion on why has he still not been elected are very welcome

this shows a flaw in the system: if people don't actively keep up on the forums and then vote (which both takes a lot of time and effort), nothing moves forward. BitShares2.0 is supposed to address this. Until then, I and my slates all vote for ken.

I disagree with many of you folks. We do not vote in delegates merely to reward someone who is loyal or helpful, though that is certainly a consideration. Much more importantly, delegates become elite members of the BitShares governance structure. When someone has a history that's wide open on the Internet, on this and other forums, that raises questions of stability and trust, then I question whether that is someone worthy of the trust of holding a delegate position. Again, I am not passing negative judgment, just asking you to be very considerate about who you vote in. It is a pain in the ass to get rid of someone later on, so choose wisely.

In the current system, delegates are the "workers" "delegates" or "witnesses." Ken is a worker, thus in the current system is perfectly eligible to be a delegate. In BitShares2.0, he'd be worker, not a delegate. That's one of the flaws in bitshares2.0, responsibilities are all mixed up together

Right now he is just asking for some funds from the delegate to work better.  :-[

He has already committed a lot of time and money out of his passion for BitShares and this community. I can't see how he could become a bad actor in this community.

He will be delagate for a couple of months until the 2.0. He will be able to use the money for bounties and all the things he do. Then he will have the delegate split to witness and paid worker corresponding. The delegate of the 2.0 is different of the current one and your concern about him staying delegate forever against the will of the community (very unlikely) won't be a possibility.

Come on, let's give the man some credit for all he did to move this project forward !

He's obviously not the only one and a lot of you guys have done amazing things but he is one the most undervalued.

If he really disapoint the communuty after beeing voted, beeing a pain in the ass o whatever, I commit myself to create the very same post but to downgrade him in the delagate list. To #99 back to #123 !  ;D

That beeing said, Donkeypong, you comment is apreciated and will help to understand better why is he still out of the 100 delegates.
Any constructive criticism is very welcome !!!

I won't be able to attend the mumble session, if anything important comes out, please post it here to get the rest of us informed  ;D

@donkeypong   Ken is in the Mumble session now, and has answered questions about his history. If you have more  questions, you should jump in.

I also am amazed that he has not been voted in. It is true that he has made a few abrasive comments but no one is perfect and the amount of work that he has done and what he has accomplished is simply amazing. He has actually paid out a lot of bounties from his own pocket. Kencode brings so much value to this community and to Bitshares.

He is doing a lot for this community and he is very motivated !!!

It's our role as a smart community to identify our valuable assets. KenCode is one of them.

He did a lot of good quality work for BitShares and he's keeping it up !

What do we want ? Demotivate him ? That what's gonna happen if he keep working like crazy without having the gratitude of the community expressed through a delegate position !

So, let's do it community ! Let's vote Kencode in !
He's at the #123 position as I'm writting this, let's move him up !

I will keep is rank update in the title of this thread untill he's at very less #99.

You guys can  +5% this post once a day so it stay in the newest posts and we get him in the place in a few days.
