ruletheworld, you're genius! This is the best blog post ever about MemoryCoin.

Let me set my priorities straight:)
Priority #1: organize community to vote up your post to the top spot on popular new source. Also I was thinking http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ maybe?

Priority #2: get as much help from you as you're willing to give;)

Thanks a lot, man!

The bitcoin subreddit is very hostile to anything not exclusively bitcoin. The HN demographic is a lot more savvy and would be more interested, but yeah, it's a bit of a crapshoot what gets picked up there. Maybe our CMO can help to get this in front of people's eyes.
Agreed on both counts. I was able to get one of my posts to the top spot on Hacker News for a couple of hours, and on the top page for over 24 hours: http://btcgeek.com/dawn-of-autonomous-corporations/ That seemed to get people to discuss a lot. If someone wants to post it again to HN, the community can coordinate and vote an article up/comment.
I am willing to help the CMO in any way I can on promoting this.

I can help with the blog too. You can check out my current blog in my signature.

That's a terrific article - very clear and well explained. I think we should get it out to Reddit and HackerNews.
Thanks! I shared it on Twitter and a few of my followers asked me about it. Give it a try for Reddit and HN - I tried but didn't garner too much interest yesterday (at least on HN, it depends a lot on the initial votes). I would be happy to help with the marketing/blog efforts of MemoryCoin.

I would be interested, I have prior experience blogging for http://washingtonbus.org/ when I was in highschool, and I am now studying economics at university. Been into cryptos for a while now and have a good understanding of the technical side of p2p systems and private/public key cryptography.

It's great to know that we have a tallent in MemoryCoin community! We already hired Social Media Specialist https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1775.0 Let's support him and let's give him a chance to see what he will come up with. smiley35, if you have great blogging ideas I would really appreciate if you would help Isaac. Thank you!

Nice top 10 soon hopefully.  Can't wait to see what all of the CXXs bring to the table.  Does anyone know the dev for the iOS app ...

coin Ticker

if someone can get MMC on there it'd promote the coin quite a bit.  I've put it in my review of the coin but to nothing so far

CNO -
What our network needs most is mining on a wide distribution of pools. I think we can most effectively further this aim by publishing open source pool software so that pool operators can focus on competing on reliability, service and price.
Currently a lot of pools are using the same software - a quick win would be to help pool operators to mod this software so it doesn't require passwords - then it can be launched from the GUI with zero-config.
Longer term, I think we want to review P2Pool as candidate for bundling with the GUI.

[CMO] I'll look into creating a press pack, but I'm also looking into hiring help for myself. Too much is going on at the moment, it's hard to keep up.

Let's get to top 10!

Can you explain the memorywallets, as far as my knowledge goes brainwallets are almost never a good idea. In my SPV wallet it will have a 12 word seed but thats a little different

@Killerbyte and all other programmer of pool software: Maybe you can implement in your code that 1% fee go to your own wallet or something similar  8)
At the moment I see still one problem.  http://mmcpool.com/ detects about 95% of all blocks with 3.5% fee!!! and I don't know why so few people are changing to other pools .. They are working very good (for example http://mmc.xpool.xram.co with only 2% fee and http://extasie.net/ with only 1.5% fee)

I guess they forgot their botnets there or alternatively, they are looking for a quick profit (which I believe is a decreased profit).
extasie is looking good, finding blocks every day now.
We need 6 pools finding them everyday. I will buy the source and create another pool with incentive to use it. PM me if you can sell me the source

I would like to be CNO as you know, and as its my birthday if someone with the pool software PMs me, I'll buy it and create another pool, and probably pay for some mining on said pool.

Would it be OK if the source code was not opensource but licensed or purchased? There are many top 10 coins out there which dont even have any sort of open source pool software...

Anything that increases availability and lowers cost for pool operators is an improvement.

It is my belief that we're going to be a Top 10 coin within a matter of weeks, if not a matter of days.

So that we are prepared to become and to continue to grow as a Top 10 coin, I want to suggest these priorities to our execs, and for discussion by the wider community.

CNO -
What our network needs most is mining on a wide distribution of pools.

CSO -
The most pressing priority is to gather all the information about the coin from every corner of the web, and present it, ordered and formatted on the official memorycoin.org website. We also need FAQs with separate pages for each answer. Usually we'll want our support staff to be able to 'answer by URL' so that when they get a question, they can point to the URL with the answer.

CMO -
I think we need a press pack to help news sites who are writing articles about crypto-currencies generally. The more we can help them with this, the more likely we are to get coverage. http://www.squidoo.com/i-want-to-create-a-press-pack

I think the angles that news organizations are most likely to be interested in are
1. Ordinary users (their readers) can run a program on their computer and get MemoryCoin (other coins make this too difficult and aren't efficient for CPUs)
2. Users can store their wealth with their memory (other coins can do this too, but we're going to make a big feature out of it - MemoryWallets)
3. Charitable donations - 1% of the mined currency is earmarked for charity voted on by users

More sophisticated publications might be interested in the DAC aspect of our hiring and voting - that's a really key feature, but difficult to explain in 30 seconds, so I wouldn't push this aspect.

CTO -
I'm going to look at creating a voting interface to make it easy to vote and so that users can see what they have voted for. I'm also going to continue working on the stability of the software and create an installer for windows to make it even easier for users to get started.
