It looks like my trading will work now, thank you for your help.

I have one more question is it possible to deposit /withdraw BTS into or outside Bitshare 2.0? I see deposit and withdrawal of BTC and other cryptos but not BTC.

Like Oldmine said elsewhere, simply use the Transfer page to transfer wherever you want. If you buy BTS on an Exchange like Polo, you tell them to send it to your account name when you make a withdrawal.

I do not know which dropdown you mean I only got one account as far as I know.

Edit: I got managed to deposit BTS from outside via the bridge adress. It took about 2 hours.

Are you using the right account? There's a dropdown up top to change it.

Unless the fee pool is empty you can pay the fees with your BTC, try clicking the asset dropdown where you see the fee in te Buy/Sell forms.

Thank you for your answer I have noticed that too but my balance in the Trade section is zero so I can still not do anything.

I deposited some BTC to the adress in the "bridge" one hour ago and I have not got anything yet.

I try to trade in the trade section my balance in the Trade-section is zero so I can not place an order, although I can see in the Account section that I have positive balande of 0.05 BTC. How can I trade?

I use BitShares Light 2.0. I have deposited some bitcoins to it. All transactions /withdrawals require BTS. It is very unclear to me how I can:

  • Deposit BTS from outside  into BitShares Light 2.0.

Convert BTC to BTS inside BitShares Light 2.0.

Could someone help me with this?

In the Deposit/Withdrawl tab at the top, you can use one of the Bridges, such as Blocktrades. The page will generate a BTC address to deposit into and Blocktrades will send you BTS.

Nice I will do. Thank you.

Is there a concept like mining in bitshares? Can I get rewards for hosting server nodes?

How bad are the rapey no-go zones in Sweden?

No there is no mining in BTS. There is stake-based voting for delegates who sign blocks to secure the network.

I have downloaded and installed something that is called "Bitshares 2 light". It seems to me it is a wallet with an integrated marketplace.

Is this the main software you are using? if this is "Bitshares 2 light" is there some version that is "non-light"?

There are also web wallets and the mobile wallet as in above post.

Hei og velkommen :)

In addition to the resources listed above, you can also find a rich list here: http://richlist.btsgame.org/#/richlist/bts which can help answer your questions about centralization.

Most of the top 10 holders are centralized exchanges,  bitcoinfan has recently sent all his BTS to Poloniex so he should be out of that list. The account alohacs currently has just under 20 million BTS as the biggest non-exchange holder. That means the biggest individual account that's not an exchange holds ~0.8% of total supply.

In terms of development Cryptonomex (CNX) has been the main driver and most of their proposals have been implemented, but they're currently focused on the new project STEEM.

Hello & Welcome,

Please start reading up a bit at bitshares.org to get an overview.
You can download your first wallet software from the same site.
There are also introductory youtube videos about BTS 2.0 wallets

Test with tiny amounts while you make your first steps using them

These guys also have mobile wallets: http://www.bitshares-munich.de/#wallets

I am from Sweden I am new to Bitshares. I have some questions:

  • Can I download a wallet for my laptop/mobilephone to send Bitshares to? Which wallet would you reccomend?
  • Which manuals are there that could expain the bitshare concept for a person that knows nothing about it?
  • Which possibilities are the in bitshares to get rewards from doing "mining" or from running server nodes that process transactions?
  • How decentralised is the bitshare-network? Is there a small elite/company holding majority of bitshares and doing all the descisions or is it the opposite?

Thank you for any help.
