I would be glad to be such a guinea pig! I'll put together my proposal and post it next week sometime. When I do, I'll post a link here. Meanwhile, any further guidance/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What would create a great value is if someone in your capacity becomes the guinea pig and use the ButShares toolkit. That way even if your DAC is a flop it still creates value because it is effectively a tutorial on how to create a DAC using the toolkit. And the questions that arise from you will be a good indication as to what the toolkit is missing.

Thanks CLains -- I'll post my proposal in General Discussion. Is there any format I should put it in? Are there any particular questions I should answer in the proposal? Or should I just post my proposal and answer the questions as they come?

You don't have to fuzz too much about it, and I can't claim to speak for everyone here, but what I think people would like to see is 1) what the blockchain will do 2) what the overall business model is (how does everyone involved get value?), and 3) what your IPO will look like and how you will distribute/allocate the coins/shares.

You will get a lot of questions and critique whoever you are and however you make your proposal, so again, just be brave and jump into it! :)

If it is a business proposal to the community, where you allocate some stake to AGS/PTS holders then you can post it wherever you want e.g. general discussion would be good. If you are just looking to air an idea and get some feedback, I think the Alternative DACs section is good. In the end it does not matter, the mods can move it anyway. Anyway, we love new ideas and business models so go ahead   ;)

Not like Bitmessage; more like "Twitter with an eBay business model" (that's my elevator pitch).
Have you heard about *twister*?

Much like BitMessage?!

Sounds like like a good idea for a DAC ..
Profit comes from using the service .. dividends payed to shareholders ... like it!

Hello Bitshares community

I'm a php/mysql developer who has been developing a web-based paid messaging system that is denominated in bitcoin, and I think it would work really well with a DAC, based on my current (however limited) understanding of Bitshares.

I have a short business plan that I can post, a couple of videos (however amateur) I can point to, as well as a fully operational site.

What would be the appropriate way to make this proposal? Is this something that I should post under "Alternative DACs"?

Thanks!
