I wasn't able to run the Coyote miner nor the ypool miner here. Seems like automated antimining botnet measures running on their servers. Not the first time I've run into that.

I know this is a newbie question, but I gotta learn it somehow. Can someone please tell me how to check if I mined something?

I read somewhere that I had to type watch 'protoshares listtransactions & protoshares getmininginfo' and the result I got is sh: 1: protoshares: not found
sh: 1: protoshares: not found

Does that mean the command didn't work or that no blocks has been found?

If you would just like some coins post your address below.

My affiliate link is https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=b42d05f9603c, if you sign up with DO then tell me so I can give you 2x the giveaway coins and before the regular giveaway folks.

1. Sign Up for Digital Ocean.
2. Fund you account with Paypal or Credit Card
3. Click the Green 'Create Button' or the Blue 'Create Droplet' Button
4. Select the 4 CPU / 8 GB, and Debian 7.0 x64 as your image
5. Your username and password will be emailed to you
6. Use an SSH client like Putty to login.
7. Use the following script. You may paste these in line by line as well if you have problems.

#!/bin/bash

cd ~
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y git make g++ build-essential libminiupnpc-dev
sudo apt-get install -y libboost-all-dev libdb++-dev libgmp-dev libssl-dev dos2unix
git clone https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/ProtoShares
cd ProtoShares/src
make -f makefile.unix
echo "rpcuser=[youruser]" >> /root/.protoshares/protoshares.conf
echo "rpcpassword=[yourpass]" >> /root/.protoshares/protoshares.conf
./bitcoind -daemon
./bitcoind setgenerate true 3

8. Launch as many as you would like. I would launch a few dozen before the difficult rises in a few hours.
9. ???
10. Profit

You may have to add the config file yourself after compilation. Let me know if you encounter any problems.

i never receive your giveaway!

I signed up via your affiliate link on November 9th. I saw your post on another e-currency forum but I didn't have permission to either post in the thread or PM you.

Address is in my description.
