With the great sell wall like now - future newcomers will not pump

Looks like maidsafe could well hit the 10k sats mark the next couple of weeks. Some awesome development going on over there. Can't wait for 2015 - Crypto is going to explode. BTS too !

The jump is most likely because testnet1 phase has started. There are weekly dev updates on maidsafe.org

I saw in a thread link to this view claiming this was the reason. I also noticed all the stats changing for each node not sure if they had the same detail for this visualization back then. Also this might have been a dry run. Which is much better than just the visualization.
