Correct. Shutdown and restore - same thing. Interesting to note that pending transaction was to register a new user including a delegate. Then in pending errors it claimed it was duplicate. So I cleaned pending. Shut down restored. And user appears to be registered. But then sending to that user - nothing just sits in pending. I haven't tried to see to my other usernames

have you tried:

wallet_delegate_set_block_production ALL false

wallet_rescan_blockchain

...or is it not related?

Go figure - that worked!

Is it unsafe to backup wallet and go back to previous version?

Not generally a best practice, but the only difference between 0.2.0 and 0.2.1 is the default seed nodes.

This is extremely odd... it does this even if you shutdown and reopen it?

Just sit in pending forever.

i am experiencing exactly the same problem on windows8. Please backup your wallet and wait for next release in one or two days
