Point taken.  ng-src should work better because it will do 1 HTTP request rather than 2.  So thanks.
However, src should still work, just a bit slower.

As a side note, you even get a response from the server:

https://robohash.org/{{bla.bla}}

You're welcome, let us know if it fixes the issue :)

You're right though, you should get a robot even without ng-src, so there might be something else at play here. I just know I tried to use <img src="{{delegates.name}}.... for my website, and it showed up blank, which is when I remembered seeing ng-src in the docs.

The {{expression}} gets evaluated even when it is inside of an attribute value.  So I don't see how ng-src would help.  Most likely Windows has an issue with images.
From the angularjs docs:

" Using Angular markup like {{hash}} in a src attribute doesn't work right: The browser will fetch from the URL with the literal text {{hash}} until Angular replaces the expression inside{{hash}}. The ngSrc directive solves this problem."

I can't see my Robot's  :(

It is being pulled from a 3rd party server... try right-click reload?

I think I know why this doesn't work, or at least I know why it doesn't work in the web wallet. There's a minor error in the angular code in this file:
https://github.com/BitShares/web_wallet/blob/master/app/templates/directory.html

At line 56:

Code: [Select]
<img src="https://robohash.org/{{r.name}}?size=40x40" height="40" width="40"/>

The "<img src=" tag should be replaced by "<img ng-src="

Without the "ng-src" the r.name value won't be interpolated.

I posted your answer on github  ;)

I wonder if this idea couldn't be done better with a series of real life pictures.  Like you choose 32  backgrounds of the world, then 128 famous people,  and about 128 objects, maybe mirror the person on the other side.  Something flying at the top of every picture.  You could get it up to 32 bits quite easily and have a unique image that would be memorable.

Although I suppose this is meant for slight variations on names, so it works...

Your firewall might be blocking them..

disabled my firewall to check but no.

reloading didn't helped either....  :(

PS Windows 7 32bit

PS2 I right clicked on the broken image and I managed to "copy image address" and see it on my chrome browser...
right click and  "open image" didn't worked either...

Interesting.. it might be a Qt plugin issue... what is the URL that you used?
