This is one reason why we should be appealing to Decentralized Exchanges (like NHZ) and gateways (like Stellar) to cooperate with us.

Why do we need centralized exchanges when we can use decentralized ones?  Of course it is intelligent to try to get BTS on every exchange possible...but Decentralized Exchanges are the future...

I consider them a bridge. The future isn't here just yet.

Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting BTC-e. Currently we are not planning to add new coins to the exchange. If we do so, we'll inform our clients on that. Please follow our news and Twitter account for updates. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us again. Best Regards, BTC-e Support Knowledge Base http://bit.ly/BTC-e-Support

I sent an e-mail to Kraken to add BTSX on and I just got an answer :

Hello,

Thanks for asking. We don't have any plans to add any other digital currencies at the present time. We're open to adding more currencies in the future, but every currency we add first has to go through a lengthy process of evaluation. For example, in the case of Namecoin, we found a serious bug in the protocol during our evaluation process.

http://www.coindesk.com/namecoin-flaw-patch-needed/

The bug was of course fixed before we allowed trading in Namecoin on our exchange. This evaluation process takes valuable time away from other important development projects, and at the present time we can't spare the resources needed to add a new currency.

Best,

Jordan
Kraken Support

Dear, Kraken

Namecoin has a market cap of 11 million. Btsx has a market cap of 55 million. Do you like to make money? If no, your competitors do. If yes, allocate more people to reviewing the code.

Thanks for your time.

That is unfortunate. Still, the more exposure/options we have the higher the BTSX value increases.

On Cryptsy's site it says that you can email support@cryptsy.com to request a coin that is not on the vote list. I have already sent an email. I encourage others to do the same.

Cryptsy's  not honor single snapshot, I will not support them  :(

BigVern done taken them hisself.

Any exchange that is brought on board -- make sure they subscribe to the BTSX update announcement thread: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7067.msg94189#msg94189

This is still beta quality software and it is extremely important exchanges know about all updates ASAP.

I've got a ton of people helping me with contacting these exchanges but the best thing each of you can do is contact them directly and request they list BTSX. The more requests they get (not just from me) the more they'll realize they need to list us.   Shouldn't be a hard sell for them, our volume is bigger than most of the other alts combined.

BTC-E hasn't cleaned out the load of nonsense they have without any real volume. Eventually, you would think this would have to happen based on competition. It might be worth letting them know about Bitshares.

I think we should focus on getting a point of sale device constructed now tha bitassets are coming.  Once this is accomplished exchanhes will all have btsx listed.

You mean like have the ability to use your cell phone to do transactions? :)

Why would a merchant pay for a point of sale device when they can just use a mobile device?

Hmmm...food for thought.
I would love to have a app for this, great idea.

Do exchanges know that they can use BTSX URLs? It would be nice if when attempting to deposit you could click one link that filled out the wallet transfer form with the required memo so ppl didn't neglect to include it in their transactions. It also would be nice if they hyper linked deposit/withdrawal transactions.

They probably don't even know, perhaps if we made a short how-to and just started emailing them as users they would be receptive.

People may have the gripes with cryptsy but they have always treated me fairly.

What do you mean by that?  Are saying you have never waited for 7-10 days for response from them before finally getting that one:

You ticket was closed due to inactivity”
“You are closing the ticket because we have not heard from you for more than… days”

Consider yourself lucky.
It's a little early to get Cryptsy involved. They usually wait a bit with new currencies, after Big Vern builds his stash. I've heard some real horror stories like yours before, but in my experience Cryptsy has worked well. The one time a trade got stuck for me, they responded and fixed it within a couple of hours.

Yes I am saying that I have had no issue's with cryptsy. I have read plenty about many user's complaining about everything from wait time of deposit or withdraw to straight up theft in extreme cases.

Even if we don't agree on cryptsy lets look at what we do agree on and thats btc-e. These guys are at the top of there game as far as exchanges go.In my experience you also see a higher satisfaction rate from users who post about their experience.

That's true; NXT does not work well on Cryptsy. If you ask them, they'll tell you when it's down, which is frequently.

agreed. i think the horror stories freaked cryptsy out. I had a nxt transaction stuck in limbo once. not only did they fix it the same day, but they sent two emails to verify that it had been fixed. then a week later emailed apologizing profusely again and re-verifying that it had been fixed, lol!

An active campaign aimed at generating exchange listings would benefit BTSX immensely.

The wider listings increase exposure, investors and community members. Right now our surface area is limited.

Polo, bittrex and mintpal dominate the crypto social community.

@jwiz168 file a support ticket and query chat mods. Polo is a great exchange with excellent support!

I personally think the best exchanges in terms of exposure are BTC-E and MCXNow. The majority of serious investors are there.

Crypsy is okay but doesn't come close to comparing to BTC-E. If you get on BTC-E you're in the major leagues.

So far, only two Chinese exchanges are supporting BTSX, how about Poloniex, Mintpal...

Wait until market assets debut and then do it. It's no point to introduce them to a half function Bitshares X.
But the moment we have market assets or at least BitUSD then we should tell the whole world.

BTC-E should be the target!

Oh i've missed that trollbox for quite a while! BTCe seems too picky when it comes to listing coins.

I think that's exactly why they would consider listing this one.

EDIT: they aren't that picky, they listed NVC, FTC, and and TRC ffs.

I miss the trollbox too. it's a shame they made it so you have to keep money there to use it, that's what cost them my biz.
btc-e and cryptsy I think would be great options. The rest are secondaries.  Both of those exchanges see great volume for different reasons. People may have the gripes with cryptsy but they have always treated me fairly. I love btc-e though because they don't play the regulation and verification game that alot of the other big exchanges do.

If Cryptsy, Bittrex, Vircurex, and Poloniex, etc. see that volume is strong elsewhere, they will add it. Give Big Vern his cut. I can do without Mintpal. It seems to require this awful voting thing, which forces decent coins to compete with trashy ones for supremacy. Cream of the crap, I say. Mint cream. Cream of mint. Cream of crap. Mint crap. However you cut it, there's a lot of crap on Mintpal.
