If PTS had been fixed, patched or upgraded before the August snapshots this could have saved us all a lot of money.
Now watch you your estimated count of shares in Bitshares DNS and Vote falling from hour to hour.

I don`t wanna spread any conspiracy theory but... *sigh*

Conspiracy by the... miners? Everybody in PTS is diluted equally, this includes the massive golden goose that I3 has. Are you suggesting we are deliberately lowering rewards in favor of miners?

im only surprised, badly.
I told many People to buy PTS as it would likely go up before the snapshots are taken, now the price and shares go down and i look like a fool.
*Little frustrated* thats all

The snapshot isn't until the 21st. Plenty of time for a buying spree :).

Do not use this post as information for making any important decisions. The only agreements I ever make are informal and non-binding. Take the same precautions as when dealing with a compromised account, scammer, sockpuppet, etc.

how about  embededing pts into BTSx?

when they are DPOS the same

it's easily to combine

or  embeded in  bitshares ME

I think this was proposed and the argument against it was that PTS should be able to survive if BTSX fails.

I recommend announcing a migration snapshot after testz successfully launches a test network from pts snapshot w/ a rebranded client

+5% Testz - can you propose a timeline?

testz - it appears the community has spoken. What do we need to make the upgrade happen?

We already discussed all possibilities at the forum and have few good plans, let's see after DNS and Vote snapshot.

Does the client have a way to message the user? I recall with some wallets you'd see messages from the devs. That could be used to say, "Must Ugrade to Version 2.0! Current Blockchain no longer supported"

Probably this is really doesn't make any sense because at my main seed node I have 40 clients connected, probably most of them it's exchanges and mining pools.
But anyway I will check if we can send alert to the network.

I would use the snapshot date for VOTE and DNS if it were me... keep things simple.
+5%

I agree... I think a quick email to the exchanges on that date would let them know to suspend withdraws.   I also think all miners will STOP mining (shut down the mining pools).

Issuing a patch to PTS will not help because people could still be running old clients.
