I tried to sell 5% of my holdings a few days ago to buy something to eat instead of living on water and crackers, but I couldn't keep my money out of BTSX so I put the 5% back in the very next day..

I would suggest you to continue with this strategy. I don't see a significant drop in prices in the near future

Since it's a free market, it's perfectly ok for people to dump, actually it's beneficial as a price stabilizer.

I'm a hodler though, have held Bitcoin for over 3 years, only selling a small portion at over $1000 last year, and I plan to do the same with BTSX, won't sell any until dollar parity, and then only a small portion.

I think the real advice is: Don't dump ALL of it. Ever.

I bet guys you will acknowledge in future that you paid the most costly/expensive  bills ever...

People are entitled to a little profit-taking. Personally, I think they're insane to sell before the BitAssets come online, but it means BTSX is in stronger hands going forward. The price is edging back up again now. This is only the beginning.
