BTSX is proving itself pretty well on the market. I have collected enough BTSX to cover the cost of running delegates for the entire year. As a result I have decided to decrease my payrate to 0%. With this increase in market cap and transaction volume we should certainly increase the earnings per share.

That's awesome - we sure do save a lot of money not having to pay for miners :)

I don't think this is a good idea. Especially since the way the system is currently set up, you cannot later increase the payrate for your delegate.

I think the gains that burning fees gives to shareholders in these early stages is so small compared to the gains which can be achieved by greater user adoption due to using the money on strategic development / marketing / business deals. I would rather see delegates campaign on giving a huge fraction of their collected fees to groups that stakeholders think have a good business plan for increasing BitShares X adoption.

I had the same initial response, but he/she has enough clout to get another delegate elected in future with higher rate if needed. I am still concerned of low pay rate delegates abandoning the network since they can't increase pay rate.

I love hearing that. That already you have made enough money to cover your costs (that's amazing!), and then 0% payrate now, even better!
Thanks.
