That makes more sense, $3 X 2 Billion Shares = $6 Billion Market Cap

what onceuponatime says is correct.

right now bitcoin has a ~6.5 billion market cap, but only like half of the bitcoins that will ever exist are in existence. so theres some inflation thats still to happen in bitcoin. if the market cap didn't change (it will likely go up though), the price would half eventually.

btsx has no inflation, so that makes the math for it easier. assume 2 billion (its less than that cause delegates destroy btsx, but 2 billion works for napkin math).

so to equal a dollar, btsx would need a market cap of 2 billion.

2 dollars = 4 billion market caps

how much needs to be invested to make a 500 dollar btsx?

500*2billion = 1000 billion, or 1 trillion dollars.

a gigantic number.

when the market cap of btsx = that of bitcoin currently (~6 billion), a btsx would then equal about 3 dollars each.

in other words... don't hold your breath for a 500 dollar btsx anytime soon.

Bitcoin will have a total distribution of only 21,000,000 coins.

Bitshares has a distribution of 2,000,000,000

So you need to redo your math.

I'm of the opinion that Bitshares is worth more than Bitcoin, but right now it's around ~4 cents and Bitcoin at ~$500

So let me get this straight, if Bitshares wants to be equal in market cap with Bitcoin the price of Bitshares has to increase 60x, is this correct?

What are you predictions on the price of 1 Bitshare in the future :)
