It's extremely important for everybody downloading the wallet that everything works smoothly. We need all clients with the latest update to connect to the network and execute transactions. That's the bare minimum.

The dev team has everybody's support, they are doing a great job, these things happen, but the sooner we're up and running again, the better BTSX can make its case.

After downloaded 0.4.9a, no connection bug comes again, just like 0.4.9 and 0.4.8............From 0.1.0 to 0.4.9a, after tons of update, 3I could not even produce a stable WIN wallet that can connect to network, what a joke! I am very disappointed at the dev team. The drop of price tells everything.  Yes, there is some method to resolve it, but I am not a programmer or geek, nor I have time to play with it. I dump, I leave, byebye.

This is valuable feedback on user sentiment/experience and should not be taken lightly.

Yes, there is a core group here that understands the tech is beta and we are all amazed at how well the peg has held up.

But we cannot ignore that BTSX is in the wild, has climbed up the leader board and is now visible to a much wider audience.

These concerns have merit and we should be more sympathetic to users that are frustrated - they have cause to be.

So let's acknowledge rather than dismiss.

+5% while I agree with everyone regarding the alpha/beta nature of the client and the platform, and applaud all the hardwork and monumental achievements going on, I do also agree with you. The more open and sensitive we are to the folks on the 2nd floor (like myself) the more willing they will be to reconsider leaving and will go long on the tech.

This guy turning red angry means green light to buy again.

How many people have we heard saying that they were unlucky not to learn about bitcoin at its early days when it was still cheap to buy? we now know what most of them would do, absolutely NOTHING! I would like too to buy bitcoins with the features and stability it has today at the price it had 2-3 years ago but guess what... this isn't going to happen.

+5% I was surprised at the 'shut the f*** up' reply.

I think BitAssets are amazing. I think I can count the people I trust on one hand, yet I can honestly say I have 100% trust in BM to act with integrity and for a poker player that's saying a lot. I also believe he and the team can adapt and evolve as necessary. Basically I believe 'If BM is for us, who can be against us?' :)

However a lot of people have just been exposed to BitAssets, BitShares and the team behind it for the first time in the last few weeks and perhaps it wasn't marketed as beta as clearly as it should have been and was short term oversold relative to where it was imo.  So I empathize with them especially as a non technical user.

My only disappointment though is I didn't sell a bit high so I could buy even more low...

That's a fair point... :)

I agree, the OP was giving valid criticism and it should be considered not dismissed. We gained a lot of users the past week or so with the huge run up in price and launch of bitassets, and the attention that both of those things brought Bitshares. When people's first impression is that of bug riddled software, that is not a good first impression to make. First impressions are very important.

I hope that all the Bitshares team has put other DACs aside and are working on fixing bugs rather than fixing bitassets or working on new DACs. If the first Bitshares project is a bust, then the remaining projects are likely to be a bust as well. The success of BitsharesX is paramount to the success of the Bitshares brand.

DAC Sun Limited took our beta toolkit and released it as early as humanly possible.  As a result it crashes and hasn't been throughly tested.

That said, BTSX is up and trading and once it stabilizes then the price will start to rise again.

I for one am relieved that the price has fallen because the code is not ready for those higher valuations.

Bytemaster, what the hell is wrong with you?  Anyone with half a brain can code up a bug free decentralized bank in their spare time.  ;)
