I have now uninstalled the previous versions and installed the 64 bit Windows version 4.15, but am still getting a Not Connected message in the bottom right corner of the screen. Here are the results of get_info:

Please let me know if you have any ideas on how I can get connected.  Thanks.

Thanks to xeroc and onceuponatime for your suggestions, but despite several re-installs and reboots I'm still hung up on the "An error occurred while trying to start" problem and am not getting anywhere, so I think I'm just going to wait for the next release of the wallet software before trying again.
Sorry to hear that .. at current stage I guess the next release will be within 10 days ..

FYI: the current 64bit binary is flawed .. use the 32bit windows binary from https://github.com/dacsunlimited/bitsharesx/releases

devs are working hard to resolve the 64bit issue on windows ..

Thanks. But now when I try to start the program a little window pops up that says "An error occurred while trying to start". My only option is to press ok and  then the window disappears and nothing happens. Have you seen that message before?

I'm thinking I will need to re-install again.

I had that problem and message. Had to reinstall and then it worked.

I am not sure what happens there .. but I have the same message ..
however my wallet is well connected and syncronized ..

go to the console and type "getinfo" .. there should be (first two lines) a feedback about the current symchronization process ...
if the "latest block" was just a few seconds ago then you are good to go and syncrhonized with the network/blockchain

ignore the "not connected" message ... still alpha software

I am using Windows 7. With earlier versions I was getting a message on the bottom line of the Bitshares-X window  that I was not connected.

I have uninstalled previous versions and deleted the Roaming\Bitshares X folder and reinstalled with the 4.12  32bit  version of the bitshares x wallet.

However, I am still getting a "Not Connected" message, which remains there regardless of how long I wait.

Is there anything I can do to correct this, or at least to help diagnose what is causing the problem?
