NFC has one major advantage over QR .. you can submit more data as in a QR code and it is way faster in terms of latency

You can for example transmit a signed transaction directly .. if you don't have a internet connection and let the merchant broadcast it to the network .. just one use case

Anyone ready to start working on an app for NFC bitUSD payment?!

...could be a real Apple Pay killer ;-)

NFC isn't worth it. No one is demanding it either so why adopt it?
The camera and QR code work better than NFC.

But if you must have NFC just wait for Trezor 2.0 to support it and built Bitshares X into that. All you have to do is update Trezor with custom firmware. This is something Bytemaster may be able to do in his spare time.

Wonder if Apple will help it become trendy. I've been using NFC for USD payments for years but few locations support it and the those that do often their machines don't work very well. Still, it's neat to pull your phone out and wave it near the scanner to pay for items.
