I paid Vote All because I thought it would show me selections to vote for.  Nope.   :-\

Tried to vote again so I could choose Recommended.  I get the error Insufficient Funds even though I have a decent positive balance.  I guess I can only vote once?  I'm not even sure what I voted for.   :o

I also wasn't sure if 'vote all' meant voting for all my personal selections  :)

Isn't there a delegate website coming soon?

Just like we have a BitShares.org team page there should be a delegate team page,  where each delegate chooses an icon or a picture of themselves if they are comfortable disclosing that & when you click each delegate it goes to their personal profile page. (Mission statement, what they do to help BitShares etc.)

Personally I think the delegate system would feel a lot more personal, accessible and understandable if you could put a face to say 10 of the delegates. Then you can say 'meet some of the current delegates' when promoting DPOS.

1. How often should I vote? Once a week? Once a month?
Why should you? If you already have a list of delegates you like and all your
stakes is in some way voting for your favorits I see no reason in a 'regular'
voting

2. Do I have to go and manually do the above operation of voting every time
(choosing Vote as Delegates recommend. My whole BTSX balance being sent to me
and a fee of 0.5 BTSX being deducted) or can I program a client do this for me
from time to time?
No .. voting is performed automatically when you transfer BTSX .. The point of
the "vote now" button is just for convinience if you really 'need' to vote with
your full power just now.

3. Even after I voted, I still have a small triangle warning about the not
voting with all stake or something like that. Did I vote right or not when I
still have this warning?
As far as I know (not sure though) is that you need to vote for >101 delegates
with ALL your stake for that triangle to disappear.

So I am trying to figure out all this voting stuff since I realize it is beneficial for the network and I want to help a network.

I have just voted by choosing Vote as Delegates recommend option. My whole BTSX balance was sent to me and a fee of 0.5 BTSX was deducted.

Now I have couple of questions:

1. How often should I vote? Once a week? Once a month?

2. Do I have to go and manually do the above operation of voting every time (choosing Vote as Delegates recommend. My whole BTSX balance being sent to me and a fee of 0.5 BTSX being deducted) or can I program a client do this for me from time to time?

3. Even after I voted, I still have a small triangle warning about the not voting with all stake or something like that. Did I vote right or not when I still have this warning?

Thanks guys!

looking at the vote/delegate list I see a thumbs up - unfilled
when I click it it becomes filled (blueish) -still showing thumbs up
clicking again it changes to thumbs down
what is the diff between the unfilled and the filled thumbs up?

It might be beneficial to have some better instructions in client as well... maybe even some simple title (onmouseover) events to help guide users.

Vote All
Vote None
Vote Random Subset
Vote as Delegates Recommended

What do they mean? How do i choose a particular delegate? When i select any of
the options i seem to be being charged 0.5 btsx, do i pay to vote?

1) you vote for all your favorit delegates (thumbs up)
2) you not vote at all (not recommended)
3) the wallet randomly chooses some of your delegates (this increases you privacy)
4) delegates can publish a "slate" (list of recommendations) .. you would vote for them (my list of trusted delegates: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=8502.0)

Seems to me that voting is imperative in DPOS, could there be a simple help page link for this?
*agreed* .. needed .. maybe we should add this to the wiki too

Ahh, i see.

In the delegates page i click on the thumbs up if i like a delegate. Then i go to vote.

There is already a help page. I bet three lines of text on there would double the number of people voting.
