Try to push coinmarketcap to just make their default home page go to http://coinmarketcap.com/all/. It is the most sensible and fair solution IMO.

Ok yes that's optimal and fair  +5%

Also, see relevant discussion here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=9548.msg125016#msg125016

Edit: While we are at it we should try to get them to rename their tabs to be less ambiguous and unclear: "Currencies" -> "Core blockchain assets", "Assets" -> "Auxiliary blockchain assets". Or it would be better if they just got rid of the separation entirely since it is pretty much arbitrary and doesn't mean very much to the user browsing through coinmarketcap.

If it can't get put on the homepage listings there's always sponsorship options.

It might be a bit misleading if BitUSD was on the main page because the BTSX market cap includes it. I think this is why they decided to separate the assets.

When BitUSD becomes huge, maybe we could petition CMC to put it on the front page, and remove its market cap from BTSX's.

Yes I can see why CMC did it, but we should see if we can think of a solution.

We are probably busy designing a kick-ass  BitAsset marketing campaign behind the scenes and we have a big community, great forum etc. but with CMC being in the top few thousand websites in the world and as demonstrated by the BitShares.org example above, nothing would be better advertising & trump having a main page listing.

NuBits is a ponzi so I'm not really worried but they will be getting a lot more exposure & hits, perhaps even articles too etc.

I will think about this a bit more.

I mentioned it in another reply but getting BitUSD on the CMC main page, (or at least our highest CAP BitAsset) is very important imo if it is at all possible.

According to Alexa.com, BitShares-X.info gets it's most upstream visitors from CMC by far. > 30%.

(Twice the amount as BitShares.org brings for example and think of all the time, money and effort that has been spent on that.)

The asset page though is viewed MUCH less. So we put ourselves at a big advertising & marketing disadvantage if not on the main CMC page and other pegged assets like NuBits (ponzi) are.
