Our third official meetup here in Minneapolis and we're just getting started!

Roadscape and I gave a brief slideshow presentation on BitShares and are continuing to perfect our BTS pitch.
An intriguing conversation ensued which spanned the vast dimensions of crypto, and the unique position which BitShares occupies.

The word is going out further and wider with each meetup, and we're seeing repeat attendees.
We are beginning to reach out to other techy / finance oriented local Meetups and anticipate some good results from such 'cross pollination' between other groups with mutual interests.

Future meetups will focus more intently on getting folks to download the client then and there, using the faucet, so watch out rgcrypto... we're coming for that number 1 spot. ;)

Stay tuned for further updates and information on the next meetup!

BitShares Informational Meetup
Sun Jan 04 - 3:30 PM
4th Floor: Room 402 Minneapolis Central Library

[roadscape]

Sent you a PM, hope we can work something out!
I'm interested in hearing about your delegate experience.

I'd like to help evolve the effectiveness of marketing materials,
and find ways to leverage my skills to help the BTS community.

[lovejoy]

I envision such a group meeting once a month and serving rather diverse purposes, listed in no particular order.

Introduce newbies to btsx and provide them with the information they need to get involved.

Further educate those of us who are already involved in btsx on all the many new developments.

Cultivate presentation abilities among participants who are interested in working on outreach and adoption efforts.

Use our experience to create ever more effective materials and memes.

Provide a local venue for folks to network and discuss new developments.

Connect with other meetup groups around the world and spearhead a coordinated outreach effort, so that we may all learn (and benefit) from each other.

And more, i'm certain.

:D

[roadscape]

I am interested! What would this group entail?

Edit: Ah, I found this thread

[lovejoy]

I'm planning to start a local bitshares meetup group here in the Twin Cities.

Is there anyone else from around these parts who would like to help co-host / organize?
