They should be there...the trick is just displaying them. They may count as an imported address - which aren't displayed by default.  Those threads may help in enabling them, etc.

MemoryCoin / Re: [Poll] Electricity Consumption
« on: February 02, 2014, 09:33:33 pm »
Anyways...ubuntu gpu caseless build never worked...need to restart.  need a good 2-5 new-build guide.

Miners buy electricity, spend time and labor on C/GPUs to make hashes which pools convert to MMC for miners who "redeem" them through merchants such as exchanges, goods, or services which can be priced in a fiat equivalent at time of trade.  Keeping more in-network longer raises prices vs. selling back to fiat immediately...

Anyways, back to class:

Will use FT's data for now.  Ignore labor and capital costs and time for now.  Equation can be applied on a per-user or per-network basis.

Ignore time - everything below is on a "per time" basis, basically. The MMC network operating costs are basically:

Fiat ==Electric Rate==> Electricity ==C/GPU Hash Rate==> Hash ==Pool Payout==> MMC ==Merchant Service==> Fiat Eqv

F*R1=E
E*R2=H
H*R3=M
M*R4=P

F = Fiat Electric Cost (USD)
R1 = Electric Price (USD/kw-hr) = $0.12
E = Electricity used (kW-hr)
R2 = Hashes / Electricity Used (Hash/kW-hr)
H = Hashes / shares found (Hash)
R3 = Network hash / new block (Hash/MMC)
M = New MMC created / awarded (MMC)
R4 = Exchange rate for service / fiat (MMC/USD)
P = Final fiat equivalent value (USD)

Profit = P-F

From FT:
on, idle - 38 watts
YAM, 7 threads, ~90% cpu use, 9.85 HPM - 107 watts

R1 = $0.12

In one-hr:

R2 = (9.85 HPM*60 min/hr) / (107 Watt x 1 hr / 1000 W/kW) = 5500 hash/kW-hr

In six-minutes, network creates about 210 MMC per block per 6 minutes at a hash rate of about 41.2 kHpm, giving:

R3 = 210 / (41.2*6) = 0.8495145632 kH/MMC

R4 = 1/(850 USD/BTC * 0.00025 BTC/MMC) =  4.706 MMC/USD

We know now all the Rs, and know network hashes/MMC (H):

F = 5.39 USD
F*R1=E = 44.95 kW-hr
E*5500 hash/kW-hr=41.2*6 kH

41.2*6 hashes*0.852 kH/MMC=210 MMC

210 MMC*2.941 MMC/USD= 44.625 USD

That's per block award (i.e., per 6 mins).  We're basically using 45/6 = 7.5 kW.  A windmill is 15-30% efficient from its nameplate capacity (oversized to collect peak winds).  So...we're at about 1/2 of a 100 kW windmill, but making 800% on profits on Electricity-to-MMC so far?

Someone check my math...that order of magnitude seems off a bit?

Who's operating mmcwiki.com?

I've registered but no confirmation email.  Same with forgot-password link.

I think we should be adding "further reading" and "intermediate" guides there, beyond the basic newb stuff on .org.  Start with "see this bitcoin guide". Then users can develop advanced guides off-site, etc

MemoryCoin / Re: PeaceGeeks Introduction From Renee
« on: February 02, 2014, 04:40:39 pm »
MMC is political. Distributed corporate guilt is fun.

FreeTrade hired me as DEO to make headaches for him like below.  He calls it innovative.  I call it "hope I still get paid next week".  Give feedback to bump.

If you want to help out or get involved with Peace Geeks, here is the page:
http://peacegeeks.org/get-involved

If you want to hire peace geeks, too bad:

http://peacegeeks.org/consulting

You have to be "aligned with their core mission" and "adhere to their values".  I say that's not MMC.  Look at the Manifesto - we have to reach out to everyone.  I am an individual, for-profit, unidentifiable MMC address of questionable intent and value acting in my own private self-interest.

Will PeaceGeeks help MaxPWR? Are they MMC-worthy? Tune-in next post...

So, PeaceGeeks:

From: MAXdeoBWDh3ScVDf1fCb7VgSNEPsT9HvEo
To: MVMySfqKF4AysMLhugjzxKKWWikwTZhwPz
Subject: Max's Ransom

Peace Geeks shall build a website for an unknown individual controlling an MMC address who may be outside their network of "core mission and values".  Website and MMC may accredit and promote PeaceGeeks.  Website shall serve as individual user platform for content registration on MMCPOST.

Peace Geeks shall provide quote package in USD, and be offered a bid package in future MMC.  Individual shall provide payment in MMC on Delivery (MOD).  Peace Geeks is responsible for ensuring any MMC received are used to promote their core mission and values.

If Peace Geeks fails to comply, the will suffer the wrath of this entire internet forum:
<cricket><cricket>

Fine...vote for Peace Geeks to work for Max at:

MemoryCoin / Gorilla Charity - Memory Horses
« on: February 02, 2014, 02:38:24 pm »
Memory Horse: A version of the LiveCD miner distribution, where you have to mine to use the OS, on older donated / refurbed laptops.  Individual MMC members collect, refurb, and setup and ship to charities / MMC distributors / etc.

Donated older GPUs may also work if you have to mine for so long on any or one MMC pool before you're "pledged" - extend a "hardware" credit?

Individuals could collect as distributors, or crowd-manage through a website (.org?).

Guerilla Charity: I like the idea of shipping Qty 50 un-announced to a random charity - "Now you have to hand these out and sign up for MMC!"

Yes!

Mine a mixing pool like middlecoin.com for GPU.

Buy MMC!

Boycott cryptsy.com

But honestly, if you have time to look, try to get an older model on sale to test out.  I like ones with exposed coils instead of pulling air through a case - less noisy.

What..4, 5 replies for your thread? Maybe I shoulda played some Steve Miller instead.  I'll just bother you here.

So...what should I do next chief?  I have about 5 websites I wanna develop, 10 different plans for world domination, 15 different character logos to draw, and a partridge in a for loop.

BTW...

Know a good _______________ that will MMC for free?

1) graphic artist
2) accountant
3) lawyer
4) Cartoon dog
5) CAD engineer
6) Techo-journalist / Web-crawler

MemoryCoin / Re: Miner LiveCD / Live USB Distribution
« on: January 31, 2014, 09:19:40 pm »
I'm kinda iffy on how much we should publish / distribute something like this.  I dunno...I can print 1000, say I'm a charity, and put my miner address on it.

Maybe at least a form on the download page for "tell us about your organization"

I'd also like a strong official link on the .org page for each charity - "these are real tax-deductible charities, see!!"

Maybe that's what MMCPOST would be for...a community hub.

Could function in different uses - you may want to rate your waiter's service, but not vote for them...

Plus, you guys are forgetting the vote preference (1-9) for non-mvte addresses can be set differently - e.g., "1 = good, 9 = bad".  The "community" specifies the meaning.

Changing votes is hard, I'm lazy...maybe I just wanna ping freetrade w/ a bunch of 9's...

MemoryCoin / Officer Roles???
« on: January 31, 2014, 09:03:30 pm »
So, I was writing a parody of the Executive Board for !dwafpool! and there's not much on .org:
http://memorycoin.org/board/

We got CXOs and now DEOs and DNAs and WTFs?  I dunno...we make this up as we go along people...

Any ideas? Leave 'em below.  I'll start with mine, of course:

MMC relies on community history and social trust to overcome charge-backs and work-now/pay-later obstacles and build person-to-person commercial relationships in distributed networks.  Each individual acts in each XO discipline for their own accounts to some degree, but are better in some. (OMG! 1-9 Satoshi to rate, rank, and search!)

CXOs are elected for a certain discipline / campaign program, receive public funds and require a degree of disclosure, and execute private projects for mutual benefit of other members.

DXA and DXOs may be appointed by each CXO for effective public management.  Efficient management requires both inward, tactical, and analytical management as well as outward, strategery, and inconceivable leadership.  A DXA is more "transactional" while a DXO is more transformational:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B27-BxwFQpcWWTA1enpBUzFnTUU/edit

http://www.marcofolio.net/imagedump/top_40_demotivational_posters.html

Any individual may hold more than one CX or DX position.  Bots may threaten candidacies, but will the community shall arise and chase them off with torches and pitchforks.

MemoryCoin / Officers are Tools
« on: January 31, 2014, 03:26:01 pm »
Each officer should list 1-5 of their favorite development tools - news sites, code languages, chart sites, etc - and a short review.  Assign each choice an MMC address, like FT's opinion poll.

Then we can release it onto other sites and people will learn to sign-up for MMC to vote...
