Did BM really say in the mumble session that a testnet could come as soon as today?

He said they have been running the testnet internally and all they have to do is say "this is the one we will release for public testing". I guess its easier for them to fix and diagnose problems when its on their private network. I'm sure he knows how stable the code needs to be before it is released.

i thought i heard a mention of a public testnet as early as today or this week, might have to listen to the recording for clarity

[00:02:32] bytemaster: ... But all of the blockchain level things that were preventing us from launching a testnet have been resolved. We will be launching a testnet, I’ve said this every week for the past few weeks but this time I mean it, that will allow Witnesses to get on board.

For those that never tried to compile the most recent version on their own and run a private testnet with the new UI, I can tell you this:
* it's EXTREMELY fast and responsive
* it looks awesome
* usability is A LOT better
I am confident and eagerly awaiting the real thing to launch so that I can use the DEX ...
