I think its simple. Those who truly believe in Bitshares bought or converted to BTSX. Those that wanted to hedge didn't. I never owned pts, just AGS and btsx so I guess it was easier to not get confused, just buy and hold.

That may hurt a little, but it gives bitusd utility reach will increase volume. As long the ppl spending bitusd keep some some in their account it will increase the value of bts. Convincing ppl spenders to keep bitusd in their accounts is important. And they will only do that if they know there are merchants that will accept it.

What Brian is doing is more Strategic partnerships. We need a more tactical side too which I think Methodx is bringing. They can both work together, just requires some coordination as to not overlap or confuse message.

Having good documentation is important and should be paid for. Look at how much we have lost by not having clear information for contributors. This is an open source project right? The easier we make for future developers to get involved, the faster we can grow the entire project.

It can work well be projects that benefit from massive parallelism. Stuff like SETI. Projects where the data chunks can be divided into small pieces and don't require real-time results.

There were 2bil shares. 1bil for AGS holders and 1bil for pts.  If you donated AGS, you get a portion of the 1bil based on your AGS donation compared to all AGS donations.

There was a donation period like Bitshares Music has now (in fact you can see it on http://www1.agsexplorer.com if you scoll down), called AGS. There was snapshot that gave 50% of BTSX to AGS users proportional to there donations and 50% given to PTS the same way. This accounted for the full 100% distribution of BTSX at genesis.

This is nice. Because of the potential performance needs, that may need it's own chain. Great candidate for a BTS airdrop!(20%)

Unless the private key is is ingrained into the item somehow, i don't see how this prevents fraud. There would have to be some kind of unique signature that the object produces.

It does not have to be reflected in their name. But when we get some kind of delegates site, it would be useful to know what your delegates stands for.

General Discussion / Delegate Classifications
« on: November 03, 2014, 05:52:56 pm »

I know its been discuss to death, but i do think we need to define categories for types of delegates. Since on a technical level there is nothing to distinguish what delegates do. There should be some type of classification so at glance we know what their role is. Just like a company has different departments that focus on different aspects of the business. Here are some I thoughts of below

Marketing Delegate - promotes and expand user base. Works on branding with online/offline campaigns
Developer Delegate - Works on adding new functionality/Dapps to Bitshares
Technical Delegate - Standard delegate. Signs blocks. Help test new features/functions in client. Quality control.
Communications Delegate - Coordinates projects between delegates. Moderates communications within Bitshares (what Fuzz does ;) )

Again there are no required code changes. Just a way to make since on what everyone is contributing if they are a delegate.
