How are you planning to promote/market this beyond the members of the bitshare community?

I tried using the withdraw today. I think it worked because all my shares are gone. My question is were did they go? It gave my no option of were to withdraw them to.

Edit: I closed the sight and reopened it and my shares are back again. Is it even possible to withdraw at this time?

Laughing and sad at the sametime.

Not how I wanted the year to end but did anyone else get the email from LottoShares?
Was an email sent? If so, would you mind copying it here for other's to read please.
here it is: [IMPORTANT] RE Your LottoShares contribution. Hi There,

As an early contributor to LottoShares.com I wanted to give you a personal update on where we are at with the project.

Due to the unexpected issue with the marketing of the business we have been unable to secure the amount of PR needed to get this project off the ground to date. This is something that was not anticipated as it was thought that our normal channels of marketing the opportuniyty would be available to us.  These channels includes press releases, paid ad campaigns, and socially relevant cryptocurrency sites.

Regrettably many media outlets including leading PR and Crypto sites like Coindesk, Bitcoin Magazine, and many more will not publish any content connected with lotteries, gambling, or other high risk ventures.

We were also limited in advertising the project as gambling sites are deemed high risk and not allowed to be marketed in many countries throughout the world.  This has significantly hampered our ability to bring new contributors on board to the project.

We are very disappointed about this as the business is a viable one, but without enough contributions we cannot start operations. Based upon this current situation we have decided to discontinue the project for now. We may revisit the business in the future depending on our ability to market the opportunity.

In the meantime we would like to offer you two options regarding your contribution to LottoShares:

1. Get a refund of your initial contribution
2. Invest your LottoShares contribution into our award winning startup Remittio

The choice is yours, but as someone who contributed to our vision we would like to offer you the chance to be one of the very first investors to our company Remittio.

Remittio is a global encrypted mobile payment and storage application that enables secure, instant, and convenient transactions. Our application has no counterparty risk and uses blockchain technology where transaction methods are simplified with no requirements of traditional banking or additional fees. You can read more about Remittio.com here

During pre launch of this business Remittio presented as an attendee at Dublin Web Summit in their Alpha category.  While there we met with investors and industry experts to discuss the potential that Remittio had to shake up the payment remittance industry.  In addition, Remittio won the Angel Investors Innovation award, picked from a panel of secret investors who visited exhibitor booths during the summit.

We were one of 20 startups from over 2100 to be picked as a startup to watch in 2016. We were selected specifically on the basis of the potential to disrupt the industry of payment remittance in 2016.  We have been invited back to Web Summit 2016 in Lisbon (they gave us free tickets for next year) where we will be able to update attendees on our accomplishments since the last Summit.

We would like to offer you the chance to put your contribution from Lotto Shares into Remittio’s pre-investor funding which is going to be launching in the coming weeks.

As of now we have started work on the website, create an  business plan and business canvas, and secured the technology to run the app through the Blockchain.  We created the first wallets for the app, and we are finalizing the app wireframe.

After that, we will be working on the UI and preparing for alpha launch during first quarter 2016, refining the pitch deck and are already setting meetings with investors and strategic partners.  We also applied for two additional pitch events for investor pitches.  We anticipate attending both, as well as others when the opportunity presents itself.

We also have several interested investors we are meeting with over the next few months to secure more funding for the project.  This is a very exciting time for our company, and we would love to see you take part.

Please respond to this email directly to speak with us regarding this.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

The Lotto Shares / Remittio Team

@fav, if you would like to give us some information on your estimated work I will gladly make you whole as well.

I got paid by BM for my work up to this point.

I'd love to see our mods and dedicated forum admins receive brownies on a weekly (or monthly) basis though

you can see your mod forum posting as free BitShares SEO for your blog. that way it becomes profitable even without donations.

or just stop doing it and use the time for better things :)
I like the blog. Favs tutorials are helpful.

At the end of the hangout today we were talking about the sharebits (http://www.sharebits.io/), and that's the  "Security Code". I used my "Bitsharestalk Username " as the Security Code and it seem to work. Don't know how to explain this right but,  I notice when I put my name in the  "Bitsharestalk Username" it slid up over the "Security Code". If you try it you'll see what I mean.
