Is this for BTS or for cow patties brownies? For BTS, I will gladly gift some to newbies. Thanks for developing the bot!

Technical Support / Re: Feedback on the installation and UX
« on: November 07, 2015, 05:21:33 am »
Yep. Very nicely stated. The experience is not user friendly yet, though the technology is excellent. I am one of the least technically-proficient people involved in BitShares; I figured out the installation, but I've also spent hours on this forum and gotten some good help from people on here. The nice thing is that once I got in and figured out the basics, I found that it does function very, very well.

Smoothing out the user experience should be what they work on from now on. By the way, I think you've done a great service for our community in listing everything that is less than adequate. Your post is a great "To Do" list.

As for your question of 'when do we market', I guess it depends on whether your primary audience is nerds (and I mean that in a good way) who can navigate this stuff. If so, start marketing. If not, wait until you feel comfortable with the product that you are selling. I share your hope that we get this whole thing smoother in the coming days and weeks.

Okay, I understand now. This is much better and it could generate someone a serious income for referring heavy users. This incentive is more powerful in aiming at the business we want to attract. And I assume that if we did manage to get the traders here, then theoretically, the incentives could be changed again to fit another need that might arise in the future.

What will be the cost of a lifetime membership now?

General Discussion / Re: Best Exchange Website

Bytemaster, this is great news. The trader folks have convinced me, over time, that we need to bring in that exchange business. Make our trading experience smooth, with kick ass charts, and we already know it's trustworthy. This is definitely the thread to consider (some good suggestions were made):

Yes, I just read that e-mail. And I did not find it very clear either. But I love what you guys are doing with CCEDK and OL.

General Discussion / Re: Dump Poloniex, use OPENBTC

Absolutely. That's called putting your money where your mouth is! Tell Poloniex they can use our chain if they want to keep your business.

Yeah, okay. Well, THAT's a trading engine, isn't it? So I guess that's what our GUI needs to look like if we're going to attract serious traders?

Cryptofresh has this charted. I know that he posted it in another thread within the last few days. Can't seem to find it at the moment, but it's around here somewhere.

General Discussion / Re: If you are a Brownie holder
« on: November 04, 2015, 04:18:54 pm »
why do you guys think that Brownie points is the problem of bts? This is insane..Do you think anyone has sold a significant % of his holdings for Brownies? I seriously doubt..Brownies and BTS goes line in line in price..
Selling some BTS for Brownies is not the reason BTS is falling..Whales short selling BTS in Polo and luck of liquidity and non existent buy support and a non user friendly DEX GUI is the reason BTS is falling and not Brownies..

Just having some fun, buddy. I have never blamed Brownies for all the world's ills. I simply think people are spending way too much time thinking about them and trying to accumulate them when we should all be out promoting BTS instead.

I'm right there with you. Please see my new signature line. Bonfire of the Brownies.

You might not know it, but I LOVE you when you make sense.

What Tony's really saying is, he wants some of those Brownie Points.  ;)

Im not gonna lie. This consistently low price is depressing.

I really don't think the price will instantly or magically increase. If it does, be suspicious of manipulative whales. What we all need to do is hit the ground and promote the hell out of this thing, fueling some greater adoption, and get the momentum rolling to where businesses and customers WANT to use BitShares for various functions. Then we will see the kind of sustainable growth that has been so elusive in BitShares (or crypto in general). It won't happen this week or next month. But in a few months or a year or two, our efforts should be rewarded.

Get on it, people. Promoting BitShares is a 'part-time job' now for all of us. Imagine working at Google (or insert your favorite startup success story here) when they first got started with the promise that your options might be worth a great deal more someday. And that your technology could make the world a much better place. We can make it happen.

Short term swings don't matter if you believe we're going much higher. It's just some trader cashing out and making the chart guys think they're seeing Mt. Everest or the Marianna Trench. Forest for the trees; I don't even bother checking CMC most days. This volatility will get sorted out soon and we'll get some wider adoption, then begin a slow and steady increase that we can sustain. Until then, the movements are just noise.
