General Discussion / Re: Creating a new UI based on Bitshares

https://github.com/grctest/BTS-UI-Customization

There's an older basic guide I wrote a while ago.

Simplifying the UI will be far easier than making it more advanced.

It's certainly possible to issue an UIA which represents the AUD your customers deposit (like OPEN.USD), alternatively you could use the AUD smartcoin (market pegged asset) which is more decentralized http://cryptofresh.com/a/AUD

You have to cancel open orders individually.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Proposal: Lower "Vesting balance create" fees
« on: January 02, 2018, 07:28:22 pm »
All fees should be pegged to bitUSD instead of requiring manual adjustment whenever BTS fluctuates heavily in price - because the committee reacts far to slowly to fluctuations in marketcap.

Let's make a list of changes to the fee schedule and get it pushed out by the committee.

@Customminer that is a great idea however we need to find a dev and create a BSIP.  @pc any chance you are looking for additional BSIP work?

Created an issue on the BSIP repo regarding this idea: https://github.com/bitshares/bsips/issues/48

Voted to support this, perhaps it'd be worthwhile creating python notebooks for teaching new users/students how to use python-bitshares?

Even better: https://colab.research.google.com/notebook

If we can install the required dependencies that is.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: proposal to create bitXCD
« on: January 02, 2018, 02:32:35 pm »
What's very interesting to note is that the ECCB's strategic plan for 2017-2021 lists their minimum foreign reserves collateral as between 60-80%, where as bitXCD can provide 101% bitUSD collateral & 175% BTS collateral, we're on track to massively out perform the ECCB & the XCD has a GDP of ~$5B which would be great for Bitshares!

Excellent work oxarbitrage! This will be massively helpful for tracking tax in the future :)

Keep up the great work

Unfortunately given the lack of activity this account displays, it's likely lost :(

It's fully open source & you can most certainly edit the UI: https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/

You'll need to either host your own web wallet or distribute your own custom client if you want your UI changes to be viewable by your userbase.

What changes did you have in mind?

is there is any way to guarantee that fees will be what is already agreed, and will be adjusted in short periods, while bts goes up in value??

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21368.0.html .

or what will need to be done to so fees are always the same and do not fluctuate with bts. ?
If we could peg fees to bitUSD, we could set the fees once and they would auto-adjust. This would require development though, but I think it's important given the lack of committee fee schedule updates.

General Discussion / Re: Smart Coins - Where are we headed?

You don't need to rely solely on witnesses/committee to provide price feeds, you can assign private price feed publishers too.

You'll need to request that a gateway/bridge adds these tokens. Anyone can provide this service.

Is your remake open source?

Getting smartcoins added to open bazaar sounds good, but yeah a worker proposal is far more reasonable/realistic than a FBA. How much do you imagine this would cost? A couple thousand dollars?

BitsharesDEX isn't for daytrading, that's: https://t.me/Bitshares_Traders

Have you tried the Bitshares Discord?
