Title: Rumors of Darkcoin being a pyramid scheme
Post by: luckybit on March 24, 2015, 10:00:59 pm
Bitcointalk has had several threads pop up with some very motivated posters claiming Darkcoin is scamming people in some way.

It could mean the Darkcoin price will fall in the near future if investors panic which could help Bitshares indirectly on coinmarketcap.

I think it's probably just FUD but the markets seem to buy and sell on fear.

People accuse any successful code of being a scam, 100% of the time.  Its meaningless.
This is just as much BS as all the peopel who say Bitshares is a scam.

(They also accuse every unsuccessful or falling coin of being a scam).

I've heard about it being premined,  but that is about it.

This^ although I kind of agree Darkcoin had a little of a shady start, at least they did something with it. However, I'm sure even if everything was fair from the beggining for everyone, like Ander said, if it's sucessfull, people will bash it.

I remember from years back and now I'm sure, the difference between crypto fanboys and anime fanboys is 0. It's just difficult to think that most bitcointalk user's are under 16 but it definetely looks like it. I've only seen a few forums where you can have a proper discussion. I understand why Satoshi left, it was just too painful to hang around the forums

I've heard a million trolls say Bitshares is premined too.

instamined is enough of a means for a scam to me.. did NXT have something about this too? Big rewards for like a few months and then boom POS staking.

It was an instamine (http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coins#darkcoin).

This was Hazard's opinion (http://cryptolife.net/darkcoin-the-next-big-thing-or-just-another-pump-and-dump/) after it's release.

This is one of the revived "scam" threads (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=560138.0) which started up again in Feb15.

Interview with Evan Duffield on LTB recently : https://soundcloud.com/mindtomatter/ltb-e196-distortions-towards-privacy-or-many-hands-makes-light-work (https://soundcloud.com/mindtomatter/ltb-e196-distortions-towards-privacy-or-many-hands-makes-light-work)

I've been skimming profits off my drk every morning for the last 4 or 5 days now, shifting those profits into btc and ltc, etc.
I'm just about out of drk now so whether they're a pyramid or not is kind of irrelevant.
Just take the profits and dilute your share down to nothin at the top.
When they crash again I'll buy up some more :)

BTS is a great frign buy right now too, better get in while you can before Moonstone is released.

The way you communicate reminds me of Risto from Bitcointalk.
